Recently, a question about breast milk rushed to the hot search, for breastfeeding, many families have been confused, some people say that breast milk can bring milk powder can not achieve the effect, some people say that breast milk and milk powder the same, then which is correct?
If some mothers do not want or do not want to breastfeed for special reasons, is it really a so-called selfish performance?

Will the baby's breastfeeding at the age of 2 affect psychological growth?
I believe that many mothers have seen such articles, saying that the World Health Organization recommends breastfeeding until the child is over 2 years old, which is because in many underdeveloped areas, such as some parts of Africa, the child basically only has breast milk to eat, but it is recommended to feed for a longer time.
But the World Health Organization and UNICEF recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life and increase adequately nutritious and safe complementary (solid) foods at 6 months of age, while continuing breastfeeding until two years of age or older.
Therefore, breastfeeding to 2 years old or older is not aimed at underdeveloped areas, and the view that breastfeeding to 2 years old is not conducive to the psychological growth of children is also without scientific evidence. The recommendations of professional organizations in developed countries such as the Hong Kong Department of Health, the British National Health Service website, the Canadian Paediatric Association, the Canadian Dietitians Association, and Health Canada are all consistent with WHO. The American Academy of Pediatrics also recommends that mothers continue breastfeeding after the child is 1 year old, as long as both the mother and the child are willing. There is currently no authority to recommend a maximum time limit for breastfeeding.
Breast milk can make children healthier?
After a comprehensive review of more than 3,000 breastfeeding literature, the world health organization recommended that the child be exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months of life, introduce complementary foods after 6 months, and continue breastfeeding until two years of age or more.
Children who are breastfed longer have lower rates of infection and mortality, rarely have teeth that bite correctly, and have higher intelligence. These advantages can be sustained into children, adolescents and adulthood. There is also growing evidence that breastfeeding may prevent future obesity and diabetes.
Can breast milk make a child more resistant to disease?
Breast milk contains natural antibodies to enhance the baby's immunity and physique, and in the first few months after the baby's birth, the ability to make antibodies by itself is very low and susceptible to infection. Breast milk (especially colostrum) contains natural antibodies, live immune cells, enzymes, etc., which can strengthen your baby's immunity, prevent a variety of diseases, and reduce the chance of hospitalization due to diarrhea and pneumonia.
Mothers with conditions such as colds and are not suitable for breastfeeding?
In fact, this is not true, from a medical point of view, there are only a few cases where breastfeeding is not suitable. Breastfeeding is not affected by the following conditions:
Flat or sunken nipples: The correct way to suck breast milk is to have the nipple and most of the areola, not just the nipple. Therefore, flat or sunken nipples can be fed directly to breast milk.
Hepatitis B virus: Shortly after birth, your baby receives hepatitis B immunoglobulins and vaccinations to prevent him from contracting the virus from breast milk. Mothers can breastfeed with confidence.
In the case of cold and flu, the antibodies in breast milk can enhance the baby's resistance to disease, and generally drugs that relieve the symptoms of cold and flu are suitable for continuing lactation.
If you are not sure, you can consult your doctor to determine whether you can continue breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding must be on time and in dose?
Many parents think that when their children are young, they should eat more, and feed their children when they cry, in fact, each baby has a different feeding rhythm, sometimes eating more frequently, sometimes wanting to sleep a little more, and the amount of milk at each meal may not be the same.
Whether feeding with breast milk or formula should be led by the baby; there is no need to feed on time and in quantity, during the feeding period, the mother can pay attention to the baby's early hunger signals, according to his needs, at any time. As long as the baby's daily large and small urination is normal, coupled with ideal weight gain, it is a manifestation of eating enough.
Will breast milk nutrition decrease after 6 months?
This is the misunderstanding of many parents, who feel that the nutrition of breast milk will be reduced after 6 months, so it is necessary to increase complementary foods. In fact, when your baby starts trying other foods, if she is still breastfeeding, it will reduce her chances of food allergies. The baby's ability to make antibodies is not mature until about two to three years old, and the natural antibodies contained in breast milk, live-free cells, etc., can reduce the risk of infection in the baby.
In fact, whether it is breast milk or not, and if breast milk should be weaned for several months, this does not have an accurate explanation, whether it is breast milk, is the mother because of family factors, economic factors, their own various factors and other summaries of the decision made, although we recommend breast milk, but still have to respect the mother's decision.
The same is true at the time of weaning, which in principle is not prescribed when to wean. It is up to the mother and child to decide how and when to de-breast. Finally, I hope that every child can grow up healthy ~ every mother can recover quickly after giving birth to a child
