Microsoft confirmed that Win11 has an image editor color rendering issue, which is expected to be fixed in late January

According to the official announcement, a bug in Windows 11 may prevent some image editing programs from rendering colors correctly on some monitors, mostly HDR. When a user tries to edit a picture with a white or light background, it may appear as bright yellow or another color.

Microsoft said the error occurred when the Win32 API returned unexpected information or an error under certain conditions. This is a problem with Windows 11 itself, and updating third-party applications won't work in most cases.

In addition, this error does not affect all color managers, settings, and color profile options in Control Panel will work as expected in the stable version of the operating system.

IT House understands that a future version of Windows 11, expected to launch in late January, will address the issue of HDR or image editing applications.
