It is reported that at present, Sichuan has built 149 charging stations in 79 pairs of high-speed service areas, involving 20 cities and prefectures, with an average spacing of 60 kilometers and a coverage rate of more than 50%. These charging stations will all be put into operation before the Spring Festival in 2022.
By the end of 2022, Sichuan plans to build more than 45 pairs of charging stations in service areas to achieve full coverage of highway sections in the province.

At present, Sichuan has built 149 charging stations in 79 pairs of high-speed service areas, with a coverage rate of more than 50% (a total of 149 pairs of service areas in the province). These charging stations will all be put into operation before the Spring Festival in 2022 to provide protection for new energy vehicle owners to travel during the long holiday.

Hu Xiaoling, general manager of Shudao New Energy Company, the construction operator of the charging station in the Sichuan high-speed service area, said that in just 25 to 35 minutes, the power of new energy vehicles can be charged from 25% to 80%, and the cruising range is 300 kilometers, which is 1.48 yuan per kWh. Drivers can find the location of the charging station through the "ShuDao Chang Charging" mini program. In the next step, the company will also cooperate with AutoNavi, Baidu, etc. to facilitate drivers to query and navigate.
"The current service area charging stations cover 20 cities and states in the province." Jiang Shuai said. In Sichuan-Chongqing, 10 high-speed green charging lines, taking the Cheng'an-Chongqing Expressway as an example, Longquanyi, Jianyang, Lezhi, Anyue 4 pairs of service areas have charging stations; between provinces, open up sichuan-Chongqing, Sichuan-Shaanxi, Sichuan-Qianqian, Sichuan-Yunnan four directions of the river charging channel, accelerate the integration of inter-provincial green traffic.

According to the current number, the average spacing of charging stations in the Sichuan high-speed service area is 60 kilometers, the minimum spacing is 27 kilometers, and the maximum spacing is 200 kilometers, which basically achieves full coverage of the main road sections, and weaves a charging network centered on Chengdu, from south to north, from east to west throughout Sichuan.
In the next step, the Sichuan Provincial Traffic Law Enforcement Corps will accelerate the construction progress according to the development trend of new energy vehicles and the specific needs of drivers. In 2022, it is planned to build more than 45 pairs of charging stations in service areas to achieve full coverage of highway sections in the province.
