Jiangsu high-speed service area charging did not appear more than 48 minutes in line
Jiangsu is located in the hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, the middle of the east coastal traffic artery, during the holidays to go south to the north, east to west traffic is huge. According to the statistics of the Provincial Electric Power Company, during the Spring Festival (January 31 to February 6), 196 highway service area charging stations and 805 charging piles built and operated by Jiangsu Electric Power Company charged a total of 1.0497 million kWh for new energy vehicles, an increase of 203.37% year-on-year; the average daily charging of a single pile was 77.1 times, and the average single charge was 16.38 kWh.
Among them, the highest single-day charging volume appeared on February 6 (the sixth day of the first month of the first month), and the highway charging capacity reached 202,200 kWh on that day, an increase of 159% year-on-year; compared with the highest single-day high in 2021, 15.02 kWh, an increase of 34.6%; and the average daily charging capacity of 43,900 kilo hours in 2021, an increase of 365.75%.
Among the expressways in the province, the Shenhai Expressway has the highest charging capacity, reaching 211,200 kWh, an increase of 245.29% year-on-year, accounting for 20.07% of the province's expressway charging during the Spring Festival. The highest daily charging capacity of the charging station in the expressway service area is the Shenhai Expressway Sheyang Service Area (Shenyang direction), and the charging capacity of the station reached 3101.94 kWh on January 27, an increase of 407.84% year-on-year; the largest year-on-year increase was the Charging Station of the Taizhou Baimi Service Area of the Qiyang Expressway (Yangzhou direction), with an increase of 1013.86 kWh, an increase of 225.3 times.
According to monitoring statistics, during the 7-day holiday, only 68 charging stations in the service area of the province had a short queue, and they were mainly concentrated in the charging peak period (12-15 p.m. on February 5 and 6), with an average waiting time of about 14 minutes and no queues of more than 48 minutes.
Launched the first exclusive service policy at the provincial level to alleviate "mileage anxiety"
The reporter learned that in order to cope with the possible peak charging of highway new energy vehicles during the Spring Festival and alleviate the anxiety of long-distance travel mileage of new energy vehicles, as early as January 26, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology organized the Provincial Department of Transportation, the Provincial Department of Finance, the Provincial Electric Power Company, and the Provincial Transportation Holding Co., Ltd. to hold a symposium on the charging guarantee of new energy vehicles on highways in the name of the Provincial New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Leading Group Office. The special study deploys the highway charging service guarantee during the Spring Festival and the construction of charging facilities in the highway service area in 2022.
Before the holiday, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Jiangsu Province, together with the Department of Transportation of Jiangsu Province, the Department of Finance of Jiangsu Province, the State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power, Jiangsu Transportation Holdings, Jiangsu Electric Vehicle Service Company and other units jointly issued eight major measures to ensure the charging service of new energy vehicles on highways, such as charging strategies, comprehensive inspection and inspection, deployment of emergency power supplies, on-site stationed services, improvement of guidance signs, and establishment of operation and maintenance hotlines.

It is reported that this is the first exclusive service policy launched at the provincial level specifically for the charging of new energy vehicles on holiday highways.

According to statistics, during the Spring Festival, Jiangsu Gongxin, Jiangsu Traffic, Jiangsu Traffic Police, Sudian Niusi and other official WeChat public accounts, as well as New Media Platforms such as Jiangsu Traffic Broadcasting Network and Intersection Point, released charging strategies and charging maps; the Provincial Electric Power Company established a 24-hour online monitoring and offline duty system, arranged 1706 people on duty, provided 4265 on-site services, issued 188 charging queue warnings, eliminated 62 charging pile faults, and concentrated in the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway Suzhou Yangcheng Lake, Taizhou Guangling, Suqian Shuyang and Hurong Expressway Wuxi Meicun service area deployed 7 mobile charging vehicles, providing charging services 1106 times, charging capacity of 13,200 kWh; Provincial Transportation Holding Co., Ltd. strengthened the on-site management of charging stations in the service area, increased the frequency of special inspections in the square area, specially persuaded the oil car occupancy, and opened an internal channel in the service area where there was a queue to guide the vehicle to the opposite service area to charge.

In 2022, Jiangsu will further improve the highway charging network
According to statistics, in 2021, Jiangsu registered 239,000 new energy vehicles, an increase of 233.7% year-on-year, accounting for 11.4% of the total number of vehicle registrations. By the end of 2021, the number of new energy vehicles in the province has reached 505,000. It is expected that the number of new energy vehicle registrations in the province will also show a spurt of growth this year, and the problem of charging new energy vehicles on highways on holidays will become more prominent.
The relevant person in charge of the Industrial Transformation and Upgrading Department of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology said that in order to effectively solve the problem of holiday charging, Jiangsu will further improve the highway charging network in 2022.
The Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology will promote the construction requirements of highway charging and replacement facilities into the construction and service management system of expressways and service areas, and formulate guiding documents for the construction and operation of highway charging facilities.
The Provincial Electric Power Company will cooperate with Provincial Transportation Holdings to transform and upgrade the existing charging stations to meet the latest technical requirements of wide voltage and constant power, and increase the charging stations in the popular service area from 4 charging piles to 8 charging piles.
