Great Wall Wei MPV test vehicle
Recently, a spy photo was exposed on the Internet, which is suspected to be a new model of the Great Wall Wei brand. From the spy photo point of view, the body and chassis is very strange, a closer look at the body should be Wei's VV7 shell, but the body chassis is obviously longer than the former, and the length of the VV7 is 4760mm, so it is certain that this spy photo is a chassis test car, which is commonly known as the "mule car".
Judging from the length of the chassis, the wheelbase of the car should be about 3 meters, which is likely to be the first MPV model under the Wei brand. However, at present, there is not much news about the MPV model of Great Wall Wei, and the only thing that can be referred to is a ntelligent Drive concept car brought at the previous Munich Motor Show.
Two MPV models are planned
Looking at the previous news, Wei has actually planned two MPV internally, respectively, positioning B-class MPV and C-level MPV, with the internal code name M81/M83. The new car is all based on the lemon platform transverse engine chassis, and the power is expected to be hybrid.
As for the positioning of the new car, the size of the B-class MPV will be similar to the Trumpchi M6, that is, it is mainly based on home positioning. The C-class MPV will directly compete with gl8. Of course, the price will certainly not be too low, the C-class MPV of the benchmark GL8 will be sold from 200,000, and the C-class MPV of the people-friendly will be sold at 160,000.
MPV models have long been in the positioning of pulling goods in China, so that for a long time there has been almost no decent MPV model in China. After many bosses personally brought goods, the Japanese MPV showed the market potential of MPV models with amazing price increases. Then it is natural that domestic cars have recently been launched in APS.
