Delivered 100 vehicles to serve the Winter Olympics
Yutong Group and SDIC Hydrogen Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hydrogen Energy Company), as the backbone enterprises of the domestic commercial vehicle industry and the hydrogen fuel cell system industry, have reached cooperation on the development and application of fuel cell vehicle products since 2020. The 100 hydrogen fuel cell buses jointly developed by the two sides will be delivered one after another to serve the Yanqing District of Beijing and help the Beijing Winter Olympics.
It is understood that Yutong Group delivered the first batch of 30 hydrogen fuel cell buses, the appearance of the vehicles is stylish and atmospheric, all of which are 11 meters (one level higher) 46-seat hydrogen fuel luxury buses, equipped with the 80KW fuel cell system of Guodian Investment, full of power. The vehicle is equipped with air intake bags, luxury seats, ultra-low temperature heat pump cold and warm air conditioning to meet the passengers' riding comfort; at the same time, reasonable body structure design, centralized lubrication, etc., can improve the convenience of maintenance.
At present, the 2022 Winter Olympics has entered the test rehearsal and formal preparation stage, and the service team and vehicles of Yutong Group are fully preparing for the Winter Olympics and participating in the temporary traffic station drill in the Zhangjiakou Division of the Winter Olympic Games. At the drill site, Yutong T7, hydrogen fuel bus and other models participated in the drill, tested the line commuting of the event at different times, and made every effort to do a good job in commuting support, helping the country to show the style of a big country on the world stage.
The 2022 Winter Olympics will have 12 competition venues and 7 non-competition venues, distributed in three competition areas: Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. At that time, there will be more than 700 Yutong vehicles at the scene of the Winter Olympic Games to help the event.
For this Winter Olympic Games, Yutong Group has formulated a special support plan, dispatched and set up a support team composed of more than 30 people, and will be stationed in Beijing and Zhangjiakou during the Spring Festival, and carry out vehicle spot inspection, spare parts reserve, driver training, test race drill support and other related support work to ensure that all Yutong vehicles will help the Winter Olympics in the best condition and successfully complete the task.
In line with the green concept of the Winter Olympics, as early as 2018, Zhangjiakou Bus has successively introduced 85 Yutong hydrogen fuel vehicles, and the low temperature performance of the fuel cell system fully meets the operational needs of Zhangjiakou region. Up to now, the batch of vehicles has accumulated more than 6.73 million kilometers of safe operation.
The strength of hydrogen fuel is strong
At the event site, Yutong Group also signed a strategic cooperation contract with the State Power Investment Hydrogen Energy Company. In the future, the two sides will give full play to their advantages and jointly develop and promote hydrogen energy vehicles with market competitiveness. And take the Winter Olympics as the guide, realize the application demonstration of 100 units of cooperative hydrogen energy buses, jointly promote the scale promotion of cooperative models, innovate commercial cooperation models, promote the development of hydrogen energy industry and hydrogen energy transportation scale, and promote the early realization of carbon peak carbon neutrality in the transportation field.
In fact, in the context of the implementation of the strategic goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality", China has issued a number of policies to encourage and support the development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Among them, the "Opinions on Deepening the Battle of Pollution Prevention and Control" issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council in early November proposed to promote the demonstration and application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and promote clean energy vehicles in an orderly manner.
According to incomplete statistics, more than 48 cities in 29 provinces and municipalities in China have introduced policies to promote the development of the hydrogen energy industry. With the implementation of fuel cell vehicle pilot demonstrations in 2021, the Zhengzhou Urban Agglomeration, Beijing Urban Agglomeration, Shanghai and other places support fuel cell vehicle demonstration applications, and the future hydrogen energy transportation application scenarios are rich and the market space is vast.
Guolian Securities believes that 2020 to 2025 is the introduction period of hydrogen fuel cells. Fuel cell stack and system suppliers close to the demand for terminal hydrogen heavy trucks at this stage will be the first to benefit, so the focus is on suppliers with fuel cell system integration capabilities and vehicle customer base.
Yutong Group, on the other hand, has carried out business layout earlier with a forward-looking vision and accumulated strong technical strength. Since 2009, we have begun to develop fuel cell buses, and have completed the development of three generations of fuel cell buses, and are developing fourth-generation fuel cell city buses. Yutong fuel cell vehicle has low hydrogen consumption, long life, high safety, full adaptation of the technical advantages, specifically, Yutong's third-generation fuel cell bus hydrogenation time of 8-10 minutes, driving range of more than 500 kilometers, can achieve -30 °C low temperature start, working conditions hydrogen consumption of 4.3kg/100km, economics reached the international leading level.
Up to now, Yutong fuel cell bus has accumulated more than 27.3 million kilometers of operation, forming an operating network centered on Zhengzhou and radiating Zhangjiakou in Hebei, Zhangjiagang in Jiangsu, Weifang in Shandong, Liupanshui in Guizhou and other places, which can provide customers with overall solutions covering hydrogen production, hydrogen transportation, hydrogenation and operation.
In October 2021, Yutong Group led the construction of Henan Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Vehicle Industry Research Institute, jointly carried out technical research, and began to comprehensively layout fuel cell commercial vehicle products. At the same time, through the demonstration and application of fuel cell commercial vehicles, the high-quality development of China's hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicle industry will be promoted.
