On April 1, the newly revised Regulations on The Application for Driver's Licenses was officially implemented. Among them, the provisions on "additional driving cancellation of the internship period" have been confirmed by the Ministry of Communications a few days ago.
However, it is worth noting that the internship period that was cancelled this time is to increase the internship period of driving the driver's license of the same model.
According to the interpretation of the Ministry of Transportation, there are two types of models: automobile driving licenses and motorcycle driving licenses.
Among them, large buses, heavy traction trailers, city buses, medium-sized buses, large trucks, small cars, small automatic cars, low-speed trucks, three-wheeled cars, small automatic cars for the disabled, light traction trailers, wheeled special mechanical vehicles, trolleybuses, and trams are divided into automobile driver's licenses;
Ordinary three-wheeled motorcycles, ordinary two-wheeled motorcycles, and mopeds are divided into motorcycle driver's licenses.
On this basis, the internship period for additional drivers to obtain a driving license for similar models will be abolished.
For example:
Yi Jie already has a C1 certificate, and after the increase in driving, she obtains a driving license for a large truck or a large bus, so the newly obtained driving qualification will not have an internship period;
However, if Yi Jie already has a motorcycle D license and obtains a C1 license after additional driving, then the C1 driving license still has an internship period.
This is to increase the number of similar models without an internship period, and non-similar models have an internship period.
This is of great significance for the addition of Class AB driver's licenses.
According to the previous regulations, the AB driver's license can not be "regularized" immediately after the internship period, and the driver also needs to take the internship period examination, including: road traffic safety laws and regulations, traffic safety and civilized driving, emergency handling and other knowledge tests, not less than half an hour of traffic accident case warning education.
With the new ministry decree clearly canceling the internship period of driving licenses of similar models, drivers can obtain large buses (A1), heavy tractors (A2), medium-sized buses (B1), light tractors (C6), etc. through additional driving, and there is no requirement to "learn after the internship period".
In addition, there is a provision in the old regulations that if the Ab driver's license has more than 6 points but does not reach 12 points during the internship period, the internship period will be extended by one year. After the cancellation of the internship period of the driving license of the same type of vehicle, the requirement of "deducting more than 6 points during the internship period to extend the internship period" was also canceled.
