Not long ago, WM Motors, a new domestic car-making force, announced its sales results in November this year, delivering a total of 5,027 vehicles, an increase of 66.6% year-on-year, and hitting a new single-month high. From January to November 2021, WM Motor delivered a total of 39,095 pure electric vehicles, an increase of 96.4% year-on-year. So far, WM Motors has delivered more than 80,000 pure electric vehicles. Although it is not as good as the new car-making forces of the first echelon such as Xiaopeng and Weilai, this achievement can also be described as excellent. More importantly, after the launch of the new product WM W6 in April this year, WM Automobile further consolidated its position in the 200,000-yuan SUV market. Of course, the environment of W6 weima is also relatively harsh, in addition to the threat of the traditional big manufacturer BYD, it also has to face many new car-making forces. So the question is, in addition to the improvement of product strength, how about its daily car cost performance? In response to this problem, next, we will conduct a survey on its maintenance costs, insurance costs and electricity costs.
Insurance cost survey
According to the survey results, among the models on sale, the "2021 520km PRO All-round Edition" of the WM W6 has the best sales and more people buy it. The main reason is that as a sub-low-end model, the car has 2 more airbags than the lowest, driver assistance system, full-speed adaptive cruise, hidden door handles, front seat heating, more radar number, etc., and the price is only 20,000 yuan more expensive, which is more cost-effective. Compared with medium and high-end models, the "2021 520km PRO All-round Edition" although there is a certain lack of radar number, high-tech configuration, etc., but also smart enough, technology, to cope with daily life is more than enough. So, we used this car as a survey model.
According to the results of the investigation of insurance costs, W6 W6 has a premium of about 7150 yuan in the first year after purchasing 1 million three major insurance types: three liabilities, car damage insurance and compulsory traffic insurance. If there is no accident in the later use process, the premium will be further reduced after that, we calculate the cost of WM W6 three-year insurance costs based on the standard premium of 20% in the second year and 30% off in the third year, which is about 17872 yuan, with an average annual premium of about 5957 yuan.
Maintenance cost survey
According to the maintenance manual, the first insurance of WM W6 needs to be carried out at 3000km or 3 months, and the project is the inspection of the three electric system and the replacement of gear oil, and the first insurance is free. The interval thereafter is 10,000 km or 12 months. In terms of parts replacement cycle and price, the air conditioning filter element needs to be replaced every 10,000km at a price of 138 yuan; the antifreeze is replaced every 60,000km at a price of 340 yuan; and the brake fluid is replaced at 40,000km at a price of 216 yuan. In addition, WM W6 needs to replace 12V batteries every 40,000km, and the price is 619 yuan.
We take the general family car three-year driving 60000km as the car cycle, calculate the WM W6 maintenance cost, about 2320 yuan, the average year needs about 773 yuan. It is worth mentioning that the W6 W6 is free of charge per inspection, and most of the routine inspections of pure electric cars will charge a point inspection fee, so after three years, it can still save a lot of money. Of course, the current total maintenance price is already cheap enough, almost every maintenance only need to replace the air conditioning filter, that is, 138 yuan.
Electricity Bill Survey
The WM W6's NEDC has a maximum endurance of 620km, and according to our survey, its actual 100km power consumption is about 15.3kWh. We calculate the electricity cost of WM W6 based on the current household electricity consumption of about 0.56 yuan / kWh, the electricity fee for driving 10,000 kilometers is 857 yuan, the electricity fee for 60,000 kilometers is 5140 yuan, and the average monthly electricity bill is about 143 yuan. As a medium-sized pure electric SUV, the power consumption performance of WM W6 is decent, not particularly provincial, but it is not very different from the same level of pure electric opponents, and it may be a difference of tens of yuan per month.

We add up the above maintenance costs, insurance costs and electricity costs, and we can calculate that the cost of wM W6 driving 60,000km for three years is about 25,332 yuan, an average of about 8,444 yuan a year, about 704 yuan per month, and an average daily expense of about 23 yuan. On the whole, the cost of WM W6 cars is not high, and the monthly electricity bill does not exceed 150 yuan, which is only a fraction of the same level of fuel vehicles. Maintenance is also cheaper than most pure electric SUVs, in addition to the long replacement cycle of accessories, the price of accessories is cheap, each routine inspection fee is also free, compared to those brands that often charge two or three hundred yuan inspection fees, it is obviously more generous.
