This is the famous anti-Japanese general Pei Changhui.
Pei Changhui was born in Weixian County, Shandong Province, a relatively wealthy industrial and commercial family, but he did not inherit the family business left to him by his father, or chose to become a soldier, which may be related to what he witnessed when he was a child, the imperialist powers bullying the people of our country, so he chose the idea of a rich country and a strong army, and later also participated in the Alliance Led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
In 1918, Pei Changhui applied for the Baoding Army Officer School and was admitted, and after graduation, he was assigned to be a soldier under Sun Chuanfang, who applied all he learned in school to the battlefield, and promoted from a low-level military management level. Later, after Sun Chuanfang's defeat, the troops were all absorbed by Jiang, so Pei Chang would be transferred to the nationalist troops.
In July 1937, after the Lugou Bridge Incident, Pei Changhui rushed to the anti-Japanese front to fight the Japanese army in Zhuo County, Hebei Province, and faced with the well-equipped enemy army and the crazy attack of the Japanese army, he personally led his troops to fight tenaciously and held the position for 7 days and nights. And repeatedly resisted the Japanese army to the north. Later, the Japanese army had soldiers, and Pei Changhui led the Forty-seventh Division to retreat to the area of Guxian to block the enemy, and used the favorable terrain to block the attack and divide and destroy.
In July 1940, Pei Changhui's hometown of Weixian fell, when Pei Changhui's mother and dozens of relatives of his wife came to Luoyang to defect to Pei Changhui, and at this time the general had just commanded the battle on the front line, he sent his lieutenants to arrange for his mother and wife to eat and live, because Luoyang was frequently bombed by Japanese aircraft, Luoyang could not stay, Pei Changhui aide-de-camp moved them to Xi'an, but encountered the Japanese army on the way, the adjutant was killed in the fierce battle, and a total of 7 members of Pei Changhui's family were killed.
Because of the beating of the devil, Pei Changhui could not see his mother's wife, until the news of the murder came, and General Pei Changhui was sad and indignant. During the eight-year War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Pei Changhui made countless contributions to defending his family and defending the country, and Chiang Kai-shek remembered his meritorious anti-Japanese merits and was promoted to lieutenant general of the Seventh Corps.
After the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Taiping Days did not come, but civil war broke out again. At that time, he was the commander of the 5th Corps in the south of Huzong, but the south of Huzong faced a field attack, and in many battles, he was a soldier who lost his troops and had to constantly retreat in the direction of Sichuan. Pei Changhui will also retreat, and on the way to retreat, he meets someone who changes his future fate, he is Li Xisan, the two have known each other since their early years, and they still have deep feelings and talk about everything.
It was at the time that Pei Changhui, Li Xisan's guide, decided to break away from Chiang Kai-shek and return to the embrace of the people. Later, he led an uprising in the town of Xiaoquan. After the completion of the training mission of the rebel troops in October 1950, the troops went to Tianshui, and some of them were later transferred to the front line to aid North Korea.
After the uprising, Pei Chang served as the director of the Industrial Department of Northern Sichuan, and also took charge of agriculture, forestry and transportation, and in August 1989, Pei Chang would join our party at the age of 93. On March 23, 1992, a third year after joining the Party, Pei Changhui died in Chongqing at the age of 96.
