At first, Huangpu Wuhan Branch only wanted to recruit 40 to 50 people, but there were too many people who came to register, and finally after strict review, only 195 of them (183 people actually enrolled) were admitted to form the female cadet team of The Wuhan Branch of the Huangpu Military Academy. Later, 30 girls were added to the Hunan Cadet Corps, and the total number of girls in the girls' team was 213.

Meng Qingshu was born in 1911 in a family of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners in Shou County, Anhui Province, and her family was very advantageous, but when she grew up, it was when China was in turmoil, and she also hoped that the country could be stable and peaceful.
In the winter of 1923, a special detachment was set up in Xiaodian Town, Shouxian County, the first party branch established by the Communist Party in Anhui, from here the flames of revolution in the province began to be ignited.
Meng Qingshu, who was studying in middle school at the time, was also moved by this wave, began to actively participate in student activities, and joined the Communist Youth League.
In October 1926, the Northern Expeditionary Army restored Wuhan, the Anhui workers' and peasants' movement was unprecedentedly high, in order to train new-style cadres in Anhui as soon as possible, the famous Communist Party member and Huangpu instructor Gao Yuhan founded the Anhui Party Affairs Cadre School in Loess Slope.
After learning the news, Meng Qingshu, who was only 15 years old, resolutely gave up his superior family life and bid farewell to his family and was admitted to it. Soon after, Meng Qingshu threw in his pen and was admitted to the Wuhan branch of the Central Military and Political School, and became a classmate of Zhao Yiman and others.
Among all the female students, two are recognized as beautiful women, both known as school flowers, one is Zeng Xianzhi (married to Ye Jianying in 1928, divorced), and the other is Meng Qingshu. Meng Qingshu was also elected as the team leader of the girls' team.
In November 1927, after the defeat of the Great Revolution, the domestic situation was critical, Meng Qingshu accepted the organization's arrangement to study at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow, when she was only 16 years old, tall and tall, outstanding in appearance, to Moscow Sun Yat-sen University is still the school flower, many people also call her "beautiful queen", which also made the 23-year-old Wang Ming fall in love at first sight.
Wang Ming, whose original name was Chen Shaoyu, and Meng Qingshu was a fellow villager in Anhui, graduated from Sun Yat-sen University in September 1927, and stayed on the list to teach by the thigh of Mif, president of Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow and director of the Far East Bureau of the Comintern, and because of Mif's support, Wang Ming had a very high status in the CCP at that time.
Although Wang Ming is very famous, he is too short, and Meng Qingshu already has a boyfriend, so he has always respected Wang Ming.
However, Wang Ming did not give up and kept pursuing hard, and in June 1928, in view of the fact that the white terror in the country was too serious, the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in Moscow. Under Miff's arrangement, Wang Ming served as the director of the translation section of the "Big Six" secretariat and was responsible for selecting the staff of the conference.
With this opportunity, Wang Ming naturally would not let it go, and he immediately designated Meng Qingshu to participate in the work of the conference, and the contact between the two of them increased. Feeling Wang Ming's obsession, Meng Qingshu was also slightly moved, but he never made up his mind to become a lifelong partner with him.
In March 1929, Wang Ming was sent back to Shanghai by the Eastern Department of the Comintern, and Meng Qingshu also returned to Shanghai in the early summer of the following year.
However, on July 30, 1930, Meng Qingshu was unfortunately arrested, and the reactionaries imprisoned her in the Shanghai Longhua Detention Center, where most of the cases involving the Communist Party in that era ended badly.
Wang Ming was so anxious after learning of this that he immediately wrote a poem to express his feelings: Of course, the weaver girl in the sky is good, and it is no wonder that the cowherd is crazy in the stars. Is true love separated by the galaxy? Finite long space unlimited thinking.
Later, he risked the danger and went to the Longhua Detention Center with one of Meng Qingshu's second uncle Meng Han for three consecutive days on October 19, October 26, and November 2, which showed that Wang Ming's feelings for Meng Qingshu were sincere enough, which also completely touched Meng Qingshu.
On November 22, Meng Qingshu was released from prison, and the next day she married Wang Ming under the control of Meng Hanzhi and began a decades of loving life.
In June 1931, Xiang Zhongfa, the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, was arrested, and Wang Ming became the supreme leader of the CPC Central Committee, but at that time, whether he became the supreme leader was not the most important thing, the key was to get the support of the Soviets. Therefore, Wang Ming left Shanghai with his wife and went to Moscow for his power in October of that year.
Although he was not in China, he had the hat of the "Communist International" and still firmly held the leadership of the CCP, because his "Left" ideology sacrificed many outstanding party members and Red Army soldiers.
Fortunately, at the Zunyi Conference, all this was corrected, and Chairman Mao opened a new chapter for the revolution by proceeding from the actual situation in China.
In November 1937, Meng Qingshu and Wang Ming returned to China to participate in the War of Resistance.
In December, the Yangtze River Bureau of the CPC Central Committee with Wang Ming as secretary and Zhou Enlai as deputy secretary was established in Wuhan, and then Meng Qingshu served as a member and secretary of the Women's Committee of the Yangtze River Bureau, and the director of the Women's Committee of the Ministry of Democracy Movement.
During this time in the Yangtze River Bureau, Meng Qingshu's life was the most frequent period of political activities, and she organized and mobilized women to do a lot of useful work for the anti-Japanese salvation movement, which left a strong mark in the history of the Chinese women's movement.
In 1945, the Seventh National Congress was held in Yan'an, Wang Ming and Meng Qingshu were both participants, and later in the Liberation War, both husband and wife were doing legal work.
At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Wang Ming served as deputy director of the Political and Legal Committee of the Central People's Government and director of the Legislative Affairs Committee, and Meng Qingshu served as the director of the Information Office of the Legislative Affairs Commission. None of the status is low.
However, at this time, Wang Ming's health was not very good, and in early September 1950, Wang Ming made a request to go to the Soviet Union for medical treatment. The Central Committee, taking into account that the medical conditions and technical level of the Soviet Union are better than those of our country, approved it in order to allow it to recover as soon as possible. Three years later, Wang Ming and his wife returned from the Soviet Union.
In 1956, Wang Ming again took his wife to the Soviet Union for medical treatment, but he did not return. Wang Ming was bedridden in the Soviet Union for a long time, and Meng Qingshu worked tirelessly and carefully nursed Wang Ming several times to pull Wang Ming back from the god of death.
The two had 44 years of ups and downs, Wang Ming died of illness in Moscow in 1974, and 9 years later, Meng Qingshu also followed him.
