On November 19, 2021, Audi's first MEB pure electric platform model, the Audi Q4 e-tron, was officially launched in China at the 19th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition. Thanks to the revolutionary changes in vehicle layout brought about by the design concept of MEB pure electric platform, Audi Q4 e-tron applies a new Audi pure electric design language and 18 high-quality upgrades in appearance and interior, leading the new trend of luxury pure electric SUV design development. Supplemented by a digital intelligent cockpit created with an all-touch concept, it creates a smart pure electric travel experience. As the first MODEL OF FAW-VOLKSWAGEN AUDI to apply the "ABC" space concept, the Audi Q4 e-tron highlights the "new luxury" feelings of the FAW-Volkswagen Audi brand in terms of design style and driving experience, and further improves the product layout of FAW-Volkswagen Audi's "double-line leading" product.

MEB native advantages
ABC space crossover
The native advantage of the MEB pure electric platform is that the system design is highly integrated, and many components such as air conditioning can be moved forward to the front cabin, which greatly reduces the occupation of cockpit space and significantly improves the seating and storage space. The Audi Q4 e-tron is a compact SUV, but it has a cross-level space performance.
The body's length, width and height are 4585mm× 1845mm×1599mm, the wheelbase is 2765mm, the front and rear head and legs have comparable space performance to C-class SUVs, and the rear flat floor brings more legroom and third-person riding experience. In standard condition, the trunk volume can reach 520L, reaching the B level, and the rear seats support 4/2/4 ratio reclining, and the maximum volume can be extended to 1490L.

The Exterior design of the Audi Q4 e-tron is highly faithful to the Audi Q4 e-tron concept car, with clean lines, smooth curved surfaces and full wheel arches highlighting the quattro features.
The Audi Q4 e-tron is a global synchronous model and the first electric model on the Audi MEB platform. Due to the highly integrated concept of the MEB pure electric platform, the Audi Q4 e-tron body A-pillar and cockpit have been significantly moved forward. The short front suspension, long wheelbase, and "cockpit forward" give the Audi Q4 e-tron the skip-the-top cockpit space comparable to luxury midsize and large SUVs. The Audi Q4 e-tron can be equipped with up to 21 inches of large wheels, and the hub height accounts for nearly 50% of the body height, far exceeding the regular SUVs, forming a highly tense body proportion, making the Audi Q family design language look new and attractive on the innovative pure electric platform.
The Audi Q4 e-tron front adopts the exclusive design language of the new Audi pure electric family, the Q family's iconic octagon grille adopts a fully enclosed design, and the contrasting design of the 3D chrome spray paint and the decorative frame of the front grille makes the front face more full and three-dimensional, full of dynamics. Not only the beautiful shape, but also hidden in the through-type front bumper, the active intelligent intake grille is hidden, the air flow path is adjusted adaptively according to different working conditions, the air resistance is reduced in high-speed conditions and the cooling of the three-electric system is provided, and the power battery can be quickly heated up into the best working state in a low temperature environment.
The lower part of the body side adopts a sharp double-edged line design to maximize the focus on the beauty of light and shadow. The lateral proportions of the short suspension long axis highlight the typical characteristics of pure electric platforms. The excellent exterior design also brings a low wind resistance of 0.28Cd, the chassis also has a chassis guard plate with a very flat air diversion design, and there are spoilers at the four wheel arches, coupled with aerodynamic wheel hubs, which further enhance the endurance performance.
The black trim at the D-pillar position reduces the vehicle's heaviness, accentuates the suspension of the roof, and reinforces the curves of the roof and the shape of the aerodynamic rear wing. The bottom diffuser gives a perfect sense of movement, boosts downforce and helps with range.
There is also a craft highlight that cannot be ignored in the body shape. The shape of the side rear circumference and the D-pillar area is extremely complex, with the upper part smoothly extending in the three directions of the roof, side doors and rear tailgate, and the middle is continuously folded in a very short area, forming a sharp waistline, and finally forming a full wheel arch in the lower part. This shape places extremely high demands on the molding process of body sheet metal. To achieve this precisely, Audi used an industry-leading digital R&D process, as well as a six-sequence stamping process and high-precision molds, to achieve a manufacturing accuracy of only one thousandth of a millimeter, presenting a stunning exquisite appearance and light and shadow texture.

Audi Q4 e-tron adopts a new design language of the split matrix LED headlight group, matrix LED headlights are located in the lower part of the light group, through dark decoration, let people focus visually on the independent dynamic daytime running lights located in the upper part of the light group, creating a suspended visual effect. Dynamic digital daytime running light technology is Audi's first digital lighting technology, providing four kinds of digital personalized signature lighting effects and dynamic lighting effects, and the ability of the lamp factory is really not covered.
The rear LED light group adopts a three-dimensional three-dimensional through-line shape, which not only emphasizes the width of the horizontal direction of the vehicle, bringing a wider and dynamic visual effect, but also uses a detailed texture inspired by integrated circuits inside the light group, highlighting pure electricity and intelligent identity. And its maximum charging power can reach 100kW when using DC fast charging piles, and it takes only 41 minutes to charge the power from 5% to 80%. The Audi Q4 e-tron is also powered by dual-motor all-wheel drive and e-quattro for a powerful performance and excellent handling experience in most weather conditions.
