Audi officially said that it has carried out pilot projects for recycling and remanufacturing glass with a number of partners. The new production of automotive glass will be used in the Audi Q4 e-tron model.

The information shows that when the car glass is damaged and cannot be repaired, it will be recycled. The glass is first broken, and then the non-glass slag, metal, and heating wires are removed, and after melting, it will be made into a new automotive glass. The goal of the pilot project is to recycle 40 tons of automotive glass, which will be used in the future for the Audi Q4 e-tron model.

Previously, Audi has carried out the recycling of aluminum materials, and the recycling of automotive glass will bring new breakthroughs to Audi in related technologies, cost savings, and emission reductions.
