Not long ago, at the Guangzhou Auto Show, the innovative BMW iX just announced the price, and the order volume was flooded. Today, the new BMW i3, which has been sent to the market, has also officially landed in the directory of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. However, it is not the replacement of the individualized four-door small pure electric hatchback that was discontinued in July this year. BMW Brilliance's upcoming domestic i3 can be said to be a long-axis 3 series serious electric model, and in the future, like the iX3, China will produce and sell to the world.
Comparison with models of the same brand:
The new domestic i3 is likely to be listed in the first half of next year along with the imported i4 released at the Guangzhou Auto Show. It is reported that the BMW Brilliance i3 eDrive 35L model registered as the "account" will adopt the same power system as the i4 eDrive40, equipped with a single motor with peak parameters of 250kW and 430Nm, equipped with an 80kWh capacity ternary lithium-ion battery pack, 0-100km acceleration in about 5.7 seconds, and a cruising range of about 600km.
The relationship between the new i3 and the i4 is similar to the gasoline version of the 3 Series and 4 Series sedans. The i4 adopts a standard shaft setting, the overall shape is more moving, and the oversized double kidney grille, frameless door and hatchback tailgate design. The new i3 is based on the long-axle 3 series sedan, due to the difference in suspension settings, the body height and wheelbase are 18mm and 5mm more than the gasoline car, respectively. In addition, due to the modified design of the front face and rear tail, the length of the i3 is 43mm longer than the length of the long-axle 3 series.
The new front bar and headlight design of the i3 will most likely be transplanted to the mid-term revamped 3 Series sedan. The headlights have changed significantly, not only the contour has changed, but the daytime running lights have also changed from the spoon type under the lens light group to the double "7" shaped outline at the eyebrow position. The fully enclosed double kidney grille highlights the identity of the i3 pure electric model. Equipped with 19-inch wheels larger than gasoline cars, the large enclosed spokes can further reduce wind resistance, and the rear bar design is the same as the style of the iX3. The most surprising thing is that the rear axle of the i3 model will come standard with air suspension.

At present, in the BBA's "C34" model, BMW Brilliance's i3 has no direct competitors. I heard that the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will create a pure electric version, but the time point has also been scheduled after 2024. However, Beijing Benz will plan to introduce domestic EQE pure electric sedan next year, but its positioning is different from the i3, and it does not follow the corresponding route with the existing model series, and is completely independent of the gasoline car design. Therefore, the EQE is different from the body structure and interior design of the E-Class sedan, and the wheelbase and body size are also not the same as the BMW i3. The entry-level EQE 350 model is equipped with a rear-drive motor of 215kW and 530Nm, and the motor of the i3 has its own strengths, and the theoretical data performance of acceleration is better.
