East Lake Review: Inheriting The Culture of Mother Tongue and Treating a New Generation of "Word Aphasia"

Recently, the "Top Ten Internet Terms of 2021" was released. Similar words as "absolutely perfect" (great), "YYDS" (praise), and "breaking defenses" (breaking down psychological defenses) have become the daily expressions of a new generation. According to a survey by the China Youth Daily Social Survey Center, 76.5% of respondents felt that their language was becoming poorer and poorer. In the Douban group "Word Aphasia Mutual Aid Alliance", there have been more than 220,000 "patients". It is difficult to express inner feelings without network stems and omitted words, which has become a social problem that needs more and more attention.

"Word aphasia" is a small matter of the individual, and it is a cultural matter. On the one hand, the internet language came into being, which has its inevitability and rationality. Network language has the characteristics of simplicity, novelty, and humor, which can reduce the cost of entertainment, communication, and even thinking, and improve communication efficiency. However, the network language replaces complex content with simple emotions, replaces delicate emotions with exaggerated forms, and there are drawbacks such as vague semantics, irregularities and even vulgarity. Continuous input of such words will inevitably affect people's language output, and even deprive young people of the opportunity to obtain rich information and think independently. On the other hand, Chinese expression is not only an important tool for people to communicate in writing, but also embodies the wisdom and spirit of the Chinese nation, and is a precious cultural wealth. Once "word aphasia" continues to spread among adolescents, it will undoubtedly cause a generation of indifference to the mother tongue and alienation from culture, which will affect cultural inheritance and cultural identity to a certain extent in the long run.

It can be said that finding ways to alleviate or even cure "word aphasia" is related to the construction of the rich spiritual life of the Chinese people and the inheritance and development of Chinese culture, which needs to be paid enough attention. Because only when Chinese live, history lives and the nation lives.

In the face of "word aphasia", we should appropriately guide and advocate the establishment of a correct view of language. When online language continues to invade the language classroom, orthodox Chinese is accepting new challenges, and it is necessary to use new methods to shape children's language expressions, using rich, vivid and grounded language styles to "taste" young people. At the same time, innovation should pay more attention to inheritance, so that students understand that language is the most important communication tool for people, an important factor in the cohesion of a country and a nation, and carries a profound humanistic connotation.

In the face of "word aphasia", we should "treat" in time and not be led by the nose of the buzzword. The philosopher Hagrid Ponty once said that the speaker is not expressing a ready-made idea in words, but realizing it. Words and words require thinking and creation. Think more before speaking, don't deliberately entertain "brainless" speech, and don't do the "microphone" and "repeating machine" of network hot words. Usually, when resting, less browsing fragmented news, more books to find a habitat for the soul. Try to use logical ideas to sort out the viewpoints for output, use the rich words in your head to describe the diversity of the world, feel the charm of language, and when you see the great rivers and mountains under the sunset, you can not only feel the excitement of "YYDS", but also appreciate the magnificence of "the sunset and the lone bird fly together, and the autumn water is long and colorful".
