In 1930, when Dai ailian was 14 years old, she crossed the Atlantic Ocean with her mother and two sisters and came to London. Ailian Dai studied at a number of prestigious dance schools and was admitted to the dance department of the Tating dun art school with excellent results in the spring of 1939.
When she was admitted to college, Dai Ailian's family was not rich, her father lost all the family's property because of gambling debts, the family was in a difficult moment, helpless, Dai Ailian had to work hard, while studying part-time.
Dai Ailian's first job was as a model for a painter, taking care of food and housing and salary. But later, the painter did not want to wear Eileen, and she was fired without getting a penny. Just as Dai was fretting about the cost of living, her first love, Willy Sokop, appeared.
