The Dai Ailian Dance Education Academic Research Center was inaugurated in Pengjiang, Jiangmen

On December 20th, the "Dai Ailian Dance Education Academic Research Center" was inaugurated and jointly organized by the School of Music of South China Normal University, the Publicity Department of Jiangmen Municipal Party Committee, the Propaganda Department of Pengjiang District Party Committee, the Pengjiang District Cultural and Tourism Bureau, and the Dai Ailian Culture and Art Center. At the same time, the "Teaching and Research Base of South China Normal University" and "Art Practice Base of The School of Music of South China Normal University" were also unveiled.

It is understood that from the 18th to the 20th, South China Normal University, the Propaganda Department of the Jiangmen Municipal Party Committee and the Pengjiang District of Jiangmen also held an academic seminar on dance aesthetic education and casting a solid sense of the Chinese national community and Dai Ailian's dance aesthetic education thought. The seminar aims to effectively promote the development of dance aesthetic education activities in various schools from all walks of life, give play to the role of colleges and universities in cultural inheritance and innovation, further promote the close integration of talent training and service to the society in college dance education, display the achievements of various regions in the inheritance and development of Chinese excellent traditional culture and school aesthetic education research, further promote the construction of "Chinese Dance City", and inherit and carry forward Mr. Dai Ailian's concept of "everyone can dance".

At the seminar, Lin Li, chairman of the Jiangmen Dance Association, introduced the popularization and development of jiangmen mass dance. She said that in order to cultivate a mass dance atmosphere and inherit the spirit of "everyone can dance", Jiangmen has held a people's health dance competition for 17 consecutive years to hold people's health dance activities, and built a large-scale relief sculpture and dance sculpture road of Dai Ailian, repaired Dai Ailian's ancestral residence, published Dai Ailian's anthology, etc., and strived to build a Dai Ailian dance culture brand.

In addition, the Jiangmen Dance Association also held the "Dai Ailian Cup" dance competition in 2015, 2016 and 2018, and built the competition into an exemplary and authoritative art brand activity in the dance art activities of the overseas Chinese masses. At present, the third "Dai Ailian Cup" national mass dance exhibition and performance activity in 2021 is in preparation, and in September this year, it began to cooperate with the dancers associations of Shanghai, Zhejiang, Ningxia and Guangdong provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) to hold the 2020 "Dai Ailian Cup" national mass dance performance activity to collect programs for the third national exhibition and performance.

Wang Huan, vice chairman and secretary general of the Provincial Dancers Association, said that as the hometown of Dai Ailian, Jiangmen has been inheriting and practicing "everyone dances" - through holding mass dance exhibitions, dancing into the campus, sending classes to the countryside, sending dramas to the countryside, etc., following the ideological guidance of Dai Ailian, "everyone jumping" has been implemented step by step, showing the characteristics of China's dance city.

Yang Lingui, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Jiangmen Municipal Party Committee, said that the academic seminar on dance aesthetic education and casting a solid sense of the Chinese national community and Dai Ailian's dance aesthetic education ideology will play a positive role in promoting the construction of a new trend of contemporary dance, the prosperity of dance aesthetic education, and the promotion of excellent national traditional culture and the construction of a harmonious society.

In recent years, the concept of "everyone can dance happily" has been inherited and developed in Jiangmen. In 2007, Jiangmen created the country's first children's dance drama "Andersen Grandpa's Baby"; in 2011, Jiangmen became the first batch of pilot cities in the country and the first pilot city in Guangdong Province for "Healthy Dance for the People"; in 2012, Jiangmen was awarded the country's first "National Demonstration City of Healthy Dance Culture for the People" by the China Dance Association; in 2015, Jiangmen became the only "City of Chinese Dance", with more than 1 million people who loved and engaged in dance work; in 2016, Jiangmen Pengjiang was awarded by the China Dancers Association" Dai Ailian Dance Heritage Base" plaque.
