On November 4th, the "My Champion Teacher" outstanding athletes entering the campus activity sponsored by the Municipal Sports Bureau entered the high school campus of Bao Yugang Experimental School in Songjiang District. Xu Lijia, China's first sailing Olympic champion, visited the school and brought a unique "champion class" to the students.

Sailing boats made their debut at the Paris Olympics in 1900, and this year's Tokyo Olympics have a history of more than a hundred years. Western internationals, especially the United Kingdom, have always occupied a dominant position in sailing competitions, and it is difficult for Asians to be recognized in this field.
Xu Lijia, a native Chinese girl, won the third place in the laser Reddir class for the first time at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and successfully rushed to the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games, winning the first Olympic gold medal in the history of Chinese and even Asian sailing.
In class, Xu Lijia shared her sports journey with her classmates along the way and told her "sailing life". "I was very naughty when I was a kid. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been sent by my mother to learn to swim when I was 4 years old, and if I hadn't met a sailing boat, I might have had to compete for a place on the swimming team later. Xu Lijia said that the blue sky, the blue sea and a flat leaf boat are full of the feeling of freedom. And it is this feeling that makes Xu Lijia want to stop.
From Athens' absence due to injury, to the first time she stood on the Olympic podium at the doorstep of Beijing, to london to create gold medal history, Xu Lijia shared her bumps and gains along the way. At the same time, she never escaped her birth defects. "One of my eyes can't see, I can't see people, one ear can't hear clearly, and the coach has to put his head close together." But none of this has been an obstacle to her progression to the title. Xu Lijia used her own personal experience to tell the students of Bao Yugang Experimental School: As long as you want to do it, there is nothing to stop you.
At the end of the champion class, the students of Bao Yugang Experimental School actively interacted with Xu Lijia. "If the training encounters a bottleneck, how to break through?" "Unlike the coach's idea, should I listen to the coach or be brave enough to express it?" In the face of these questions, Xu Lijia patiently answered them one by one, and sincerely invited the students present to have the opportunity to experience the fun of sailing. "Trust me, you'll love it."
In addition, Xu Lijia also brought a physical education class. Students from a number of sports teams in the school spontaneously signed up and followed Mr. Xu for a series of physical training.
