Mother's Day Movie List: 10 classic movies for sons to watch with their mothers

With Mother's Day just around the corner, it's a good time to do something special to make your mom feel special. After all, she conceived and gave birth to you in October, so at least you have to spend a little time with her. Maybe most of the sons with hearts will choose to buy gifts, but it often turns out that you are completely out of tune with your mother's tastes. The ideal gift you choose may not appeal to her, and the gift of flowers is nothing new, not to mention that what she really wants may be to spend some time with her precious son. So what to do? How about watching one or two movies of her choosing.

First of all, to clarify: these movies should be proposed by you, and then it is up to her to pick and choose. The movies you recommend should be able to satisfy the different tastes of you and your mom at the same time. Maybe she just wanted to take the time to watch a female movie like "Steel Magnolia", but she never had the chance. The movie you're going to see obviously has to compromise your tastes. A greasy and clichéd romantic movie or a B-grade film like "Sister Thunderbolt" that sounds vulgar to the name is not enough.

Here are ten movies that both mom and son will love to watch. Mom will be happy to share this time with her son, and you'll be happy that you're still a man in front of Mom.

10. Princess bride

Mother's Day Movie List: 10 classic movies for sons to watch with their mothers

Why you'll love it: Any adult male movie fan should be familiar with this movie. If you really don't know, you should look for this movie right away, or continue to be ignorant – after all, you've missed the best time to enjoy this movie.

The Princess Bride is one of the greatest adventure films of all time, filled with witty dialogue, epic battles, and magic. Carriy Elvis perfectly plays a pirate Indiana Jones, giant Andre plays a terrible giant, and Mandy Patinkin's classic line, "My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, ready to die". The film is shiny and funny, full of grand scenes and plots to save the princess. All the highlights are reminding you why you should love movies.

Why Moms Like It: Mandy Patinkin plays a swordsman who is fascinating, and this love story will make your mom fall for it. A man's fearless rescue of his beloved woman is inherently intoxicating. Every time you watch this movie, the story told by peter Falk, played by Peter Falk, for young Fred Savage (your mom will call him cute) will make you feel fulfilled. There's also a funny cameo by Billy Christo, and your mom will surely be happy.

9. Superman Strike Force

Mother's Day Movie List: 10 classic movies for sons to watch with their mothers

Why would you like it: Do you remember when you were a kid running around outside and fantasizing about saving the world? Superman Strike Force beautifully packages your childhood hero fantasies and presents you with a wonderful animated platter. Thanks again Pixar!

Crazy superheroes, crazy antics and even crazier climaxes – Superman is one of the most exciting animated films of all time. The genius Pixar has always been able to make movies that appeal to both children and adults. This "Superman Strike Force" not only makes the children's eyes shine, but also makes us adults feel the feeling of returning to childhood again.

Why Moms Would Love: The theme of this movie is family. It mainly revolves around a superhero family, telling the story of their feelings of loss in the real world after retirement. The antics of this "normal" family are important, providing support for a narrative that might otherwise be absurd. Holly Hunter's voice of Stretch Supergirl, Supermama, is also at the heart of the film. We all agree that our moms are superheroes, so it would feel great to watch a movie with mom that praises supergirls – not only because she has special superpowers, but also because she's an amazing mom.

8. Emerald

Mother's Day Movie List: 10 classic movies for sons to watch with their mothers

Why you'll love it: It's not hard to see why this movie made Catherine Turner really famous. In addition to her, in this thrilling and wonderful story we can also see Michael Douglas at the peak of his condition. This wonderful film directed by Robert Zamicks has never gone out of style. This dazzling, fancy adventure movie is full of thrilling adventures and a little romantic love. Arguably one of the best action/adventure movies of the '80s — not quite up to the par with Raiders of the Lost Ark, it's a great alternative.

Why Moms Would Love: Michael Douglas. It's no secret that women love Michael Douglas, let alone that the young and handsome Douglas plays a romantic male protagonist who is a hero to save the United States. Although this is an adventure movie, it also tells a love story completely. Robert Zemeckis found the perfect balance between the two, creating a film that was both intense, graphic and intoxicating. Your mother will support the male and female protagonists to be together in the end, and the ending will not disappoint her.

7. Forrest Gump

Mother's Day Movie List: 10 classic movies for sons to watch with their mothers

Why you'll love it: This movie is an epic of the times. Tell the story of a man who overcomes all obstacles in his life. It affirms the meaning of life. Tom Hanks' rendition of Forrest Gump is incredible, with Gary Sinis making a splash in every scene in which Lieutenant Dan appears. By the end of the film, you feel as if you've experienced decades of American history. You'll marvel at the magic of the special effects that blends Tom Hanks into historical scenes, but other, quieter scenes are more likely to resonate. This movie reminds you of what it's like to be alive.

Why Moms Like It: Actually, many of the reasons are the same. One reason for this is that Tom Hanks is one of the most beloved actors of our time – he's attractive to everyone. This character who loves her mother deeply will make your mom very eager to cook for you after the movie (isn't that a win-win for you?). )。 Every mother wants her son to learn to apply the experiences she taught her children as children as children, and the film reaffirms that concept. It explains the cycle of life, the mother's vocation, the father's vocation, and all the moments between our birth and death.

6. The last of the Mohicans

Mother's Day Movie List: 10 classic movies for sons to watch with their mothers

Why you'll love it: First of all, this is a Michael Mann movie. This is almost synonymous with excellence. Historical epics are usually not michael Mann's favorite genre, but sometimes a new dimension can lead to great things, and The Last of the Mohicans proves to be a great film. There are a lot of fights, brotherhood scenes in the film, and Daniel Day Lewis is absolutely good at it, as well as the charming Madeleinesto. Again, a movie that combines epic action and mournful love that every audience member will love.

Why Moms Would Love: Daniel Day Lewis. He's handsome and romantic, with long hair and sharp eyes—that's probably what your mom thought when you watched the movies. Women are as adventurous as men, but when Daniel Day Lewis said the line to Madeleine Stowe, "You're going to live, no matter what happens!" I will find you. No matter how long it takes, no matter how far away, I will find you. I will find you! "Sensationalism worked. Hand with a tissue. Tears in her eyes. Your mom may be crying too.

5. Love notebook

Why you'll love it: Even a male audience would love this movie. How do I know? Because everyone in the world loves Ryan Gosling (I did the research, it's true). Men are romantic on the inside no matter how tough they are on the outside, and this movie satisfies our romantic/heroic cravings. We've all met the kind of girls we want to get by whatever we want. Gosling is just more handsome than us, and the conditions are more favorable. Finally, true love finally has results! At the end of the film, we see James Garner with wet eyes. That scene, he waited for Gina Rowland to reminisce about the days they had been together, only to be forgotten again by dinner, heartbreaking.

4. Eleven Arhats

Mother's Day Movie List: 10 classic movies for sons to watch with their mothers

Why you'll love it: the dazzling cast. Wonderful story. Successfully directed. Excellent script. What else do you need? Every man at some point in his life has the idea of robbing and committing crimes, and the Eleven Arhats fulfill this immoral idea for us. George Clooney starred, and his on-screen chemistry with Brad Pitt was perfect. They easily starred in each other, so the film seemed to be fun. Steven Soderbergh took control of the story and kept the film running in perfect time — without wasting anything. Ted Griffin's script, which boasts some of the best dialogues in recent cinematic history, is a really interesting good thing. And everyone in the film is at their best.

Why Mom Would Love: This Movie Has The Most Handsome Men Cast in Hollywood. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Andy Garcia, Matt Damon, and Don Chandel, the level of handsomeness has been overloaded. Julia Roberts is also as beautiful as ever, reminding everyone why she is called "America's Sweetheart." The secret weapon of this movie is actually a love story buried under the glitz and charm. The real robbery in this story is actually a man trying to win back his ex-wife. The ruse of this "real" robbery is to put George Clooney where he should be, and let Andy Garcia in reveal his true face. In the end, Clooney got his wife and the money, and we got two sequels.

3. Casablanca

Mother's Day Movie List: 10 classic movies for sons to watch with their mothers

Why you'd love it: perfect. That's the first word that comes to mind when I talk about Casablanca. The film is perfect, and the perfect movie is naturally full of praise. Humphrey Bogart has always been popular with male audiences, and the film's protagonist, Rick Bryan, is his most iconic character. In his time, no one could be more qualified for such a "reluctant hero" than he did. Think about how many great movie characters were born thanks to Rick Brian — they probably wouldn't have existed without this archetype. By the end of the film, he doesn't even save Ingrid Bergman, but he does everything for her. He is undoubtedly a very mature and sophisticated man. Dealing with the Nazis, putting herself and the business in crisis, just to get the girl out of the way, because that's best for her.

Why Moms Would Love It: It's one of the greatest movies of all time. There are really very few movies that dare to claim to be better than it. Humphrey Bogart was always attractive to women (because of her mild-mannered yet rugged charm). The film tells a wonderful twist and turn story full of intrigue and spying, mainly set in a nightclub in Morocco, and never feels boring or the plot is stagnant. It's a truly great movie, one of the greatest love stories in the history of cinema. An impressive, heartbreaking, and still exhilarating film. Did I mention that the male protagonist, for the safety of the girl he likes, finally has to abandon her and arrange for her to fly with others?

2. Stealing love

Mother's Day Movie List: 10 classic movies for sons to watch with their mothers

Why you'd like... Bill Murray. If you don't like or even know Bill Murray, your life is gone. For many, I believe this movie doesn't need an introduction. The film combines a humorous genre with Bill Murray's specific comedic flair and sensitivity, allowing a man to relive the same day over and over again, creating plenty of hilarious jokes. It also let the film industry know that Bill Murray is not only a funny guy, but also a master of comedy.

Why Moms Like It: Bill Murray's Law Applies Here Too. Several female fans have said that Bill Murray reminds them of their dad (oddly enough, because their dad doesn't have a sense of humor). There is also a certain seriousness beneath the comedic surface of this film. Bill Murray plays a conceited jerk who is forced to fight his demons again and again until he finally becomes a better man. Moms love to teach their children lessons, and Groundhog Day is a big lesson for all of us. At the end of the film, Bill Murray becomes the kind of person he should have always been, and gains the love of his dreams. Moms, on the other hand, would be happy to see a movie that makes her laugh and blossoms while also reminding her son to be better.

1. Steel magnolias

Mother's Day Movie List: 10 classic movies for sons to watch with their mothers

Why you'll like it: You probably won't like it. But it should still be seen. Because she is your mother. She gave birth to you – at least you should be able to do it and watch a simple movie with her.

Why Moms Like It Doesn't Matter. She'll love it, and you may not be interested, but at least after she's spent her life supporting you at all costs, she'll finally be able to watch the movie with you. (Actually, she gained more.) ) [Lucas Flanagan]
