On May 8, Chinese Ambassador to Morocco Li Changlin attended the award ceremony of the first Central and North Africa International Vocational Education Digital Innovation Skills Competition in Saidat. Al-Mukerim, President of Hassan I University, Kennedily, former Moroccan Minister of Education, Balkawi, President of the Central and North Africa International Education Innovation Alliance, and Liu Chengang, Head of the Cultural Office of the Embassy, attended the event.
In his speech, Ambassador Li first congratulated the winners from China, Morocco and Tunisia. Ambassador Li pointed out that President Xi Jinping emphasized that science and technology are the primary productive forces, talent is the first resource, and innovation is the first driving force, and China and Morocco share a common vision and actions in keeping up with the world's scientific and technological development trends, carrying out technological innovation and energy transition. With the theme of cross-border e-commerce, additive manufacturing and virtual reality, the competition has built a platform for Chinese and Moroccan universities and even Chinese and African universities to exchange ideas and share knowledge. The Chinese Embassy in Morocco will continue to support Chinese and Moroccan universities to strengthen practical cooperation, and looks forward to more cooperation projects to help cultivate outstanding innovative talents.
Principal Mukrim said that the Innovation Skills Competition aims to enhance the innovative spirit and creative thinking of young students, and also contribute to the exchange and mutual learning between different education systems and cultural values. It is hoped that the young people of Morocco and China will take innovation as the link, and the universities of the two countries will focus on innovation and cooperation, and make positive contributions to promoting scientific and technological cooperation and educational exchanges between Morocco and China.
