On May 17, Yiliang County held the 2024 Fire Industry Vocational Skills Competition to further improve the business skills of various forms of fire fighting forces at the grassroots level, forge a strong team quality, and show the good style of the team.
Xi Jianmin, deputy secretary of the county party committee, announced the opening of the competition.
Zhu Junrong, member of the Party Committee and Director of the Political Department of the Kunming Fire and Rescue Detachment, and Sun Zilin, Executive Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the County People's Congress, Secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of the County Federation of Trade Unions, attended the event and delivered speeches. The main leaders of the County Emergency Bureau, the County Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the County Forestry and Grassland Bureau, and the County Fire and Rescue Brigade, as well as the leaders in charge of the townships (streets) and member units of the Consumer Safety Committee participated in the event.
Zhu Junrong pointed out that the full-time firefighting force of the local government is an important part of the mainland's fire rescue force system. The development and construction of grassroots fire fighting forces is of great significance to expanding the coverage of urban and rural fire rescue forces and solving the problem of weak grassroots fire protection foundation. This skills competition is a practical test to comprehensively improve the urban and rural fire prevention and control and comprehensive emergency rescue capabilities of Yiliang County. I hope that everyone can cherish the opportunity, show their strength, style and image, continuously improve the combat effectiveness of fire fighting and rescue and the efficiency of comprehensive emergency rescue, and make important contributions to the people's living and working in peace and contentment and economic construction and development, and provide security guarantees.
Sun Zilin pointed out that it is necessary to take this competition as an opportunity to continuously improve their professional quality and technical level, actively participate in the cause of fire rescue, and contribute to the safe development of Yiliang's economy and society.
A total of 20 people from Group 2 of the Hot Spring Road Fire and Rescue Station participated in the referee scheduling to ensure the smooth progress of the competition. 8 township (street) government full-time teams, county comprehensive emergency rescue teams and East Ring High Road enterprise full-time teams formed 10 competition teams, each team of 5 people, a total of 50 people participated. The competition includes 1 person with 3 hose connection exercises, in-situ full set of fire extinguishing protective clothing exercises, and team hand lifting motor pump water exercises. All the participating teams overcome the unfavorable factors of high temperature weather, always maintain a good fighting style, and actively participate in the competition with high standards and strict requirements.
At the end of the competition, the participating leaders awarded medals and certificates to the winning teams and individuals, and distributed fire rescue quilts to the township (street) full-time fire brigade, and the event was a complete success.
