On April 11, our county held the 2023 annual party management and armed forces work debriefing meeting and the construction of the grassroots armed forces department. County leaders Wang Xiucheng, Qiao Liang, Zhang Shijun, Jiang Aiwen, Li Junqing, Ling Li, and Guo Shuchao, political commissar of the county People's Armed Forces Department, attended the event.
Wang Xiucheng, secretary of the county party committee and first secretary of the party committee of the county people's armed forces department, pointed out that since last year, the county's party management and armed work have persisted in raising the banner and casting the soul, the political building of the army has continued to deepen, the training and preparation for war have been solidly promoted, the service development has taken the initiative, and the national defense mobilization and reserve force building have reached a new level. All towns (streets) and relevant departments have conscientiously performed their duties of managing the armed forces by the party, vigorously supported the building of national defense and the army, the militia has been organized as a whole and the recruitment of soldiers has been solid and effective, and the standardization of the grassroots level has been carried out in an orderly manner. In the next step, all departments at all levels should take the initiative to adapt to the new situation, new tasks and new requirements, further strengthen their responsibility, pay close attention to the implementation of work, and constantly create a new situation in the party's management of the armed forces.
In terms of doing a good job in the party's management of the armed forces this year, Wang Xiucheng stressed that it is necessary to focus on the responsibility of managing the armed forces and firmly grasp the correct political direction. Firmly establish the concept of "grasping the economy without forgetting to consolidate national defense, engaging in construction without forgetting to rejuvenate the armed forces, and seeking development without forgetting to strengthen war preparedness", consciously implement the party's responsibility for managing the armed forces, and earnestly regard the party's management of the armed forces as a concrete action to firmly defend the "two establishments" and resolutely achieve the "two safeguards". It is necessary to focus on building the armed forces in a proper way and comprehensively improve the quality and efficiency of work. Focusing on key tasks such as the formation of the militia, training and preparing for war, the rectification of soldiers, and the achievement of standards at the grassroots level, we will comprehensively establish a clear orientation for actual combat training, continue to consolidate the advantages of recruiting soldiers, vigorously improve the standards of grassroots construction, strive to improve the quality of service guarantees, and continuously enhance the combat effectiveness and cohesion of the party's management of the armed forces. It is necessary to focus on strengthening the armed forces and effectively unite the joint forces of the military and the localities. Keep up with the current work situation, continue to build a strong cadre team, and continue to promote the development of military-civilian integration.
