Background: On September 22, 2022, the Food Safety Commission of the State Council and the State Administration for Market Regulation respectively issued the "Opinions on Establishing and Improving the Working Mechanism for Hierarchical and Hierarchical Precise Prevention and Control at the End of the End to Promote the Implementation of the Territorial Management Responsibility for Food Safety" (Food Safety Committee Fa [2022] No. 7) and the "Provisions on the Supervision and Administration of the Implementation of the Main Responsibility of Enterprises for Food Safety" (Order No. 60 of the State Administration for Market Regulation), respectively, making new provisions on the territorial management responsibility of food safety and the main responsibility of enterprise food safety.

Q7: Which companies should appoint food safety directors?
On the basis of appointing food safety officers in accordance with the law, the canteens of the following food production and operation enterprises and centralized dining units shall be equipped with food safety directors:
(1) Special food production enterprises;
(2) Large and medium-sized food production enterprises;
(3) Headquarters of large and medium-sized catering service enterprises and chain catering enterprises;
(D) large and medium-sized food sales enterprises, chain sales enterprise headquarters;
(5) Canteens of childcare institutions with more than 300 diners, school canteens with more than 500 diners, and units with more than 1,000 diners or mealers.
※In order to improve the food safety management level of centralized dining units, combined with the actual situation of the jurisdiction, school canteens and canteens of elderly care institutions in Putuo District other than the above situations should also be equipped with food safety directors with reference to the above requirements, and the director shall be the head of the school (park) and the main person in charge of food safety.
