Zhang Defen is a world-renowned Chinese writer of body, mind and soul. Her work "Meet the Unknown Self" has soothed the hearts of countless readers, and she has become a spiritual mentor for many people.
In fact, Zhang Defen also has his own idol. A few years ago, she traveled overseas to interview her revered spiritual master, Sadhguru. During the interview, she asked Saguru more than a dozen questions, and the other party answered them one by one, and the language was profound and humorous, which benefited people a lot. This video is still circulating on the Internet.
Sadhguru, An Indian, formerly known as Saguru Gaj Vasudev. Guru, in Hindi, means spiritual teacher. Sadhguru is a contemporary yogi, poet, and best-selling author. He likes to use easy-to-understand metaphors or wonderful stories to accurately convey abstract truths to modern people, thus opening up the inner wisdom of each person.
The Three Truths of Happiness is a book compiled from The Sadhgulu quotations. The "Three Truths" in the title refer to the body, mind, and energy. Sadhguru believes that in reality, most people are unhappy. If you want to achieve happiness in life, you need to start from the three levels of body, mind and energy, so that body, mind and soul are one, and finally let life shine with vitality. Once life has vitality, life will be light and comfortable.

, for people, the body is the greatest wealth

The body is a great gift from nature to mankind.
Modern people are plagued by various diseases and suffer unspeakably. The reason is that people's minds are problematic, and disease is only the manifestation of spiritual problems. This phenomenon is called "somatization" in psychology. Modern medicine has also proved the scientific nature of somatization.
The best way to cure a disease is to take your eyes back and pay attention to the changes in the body itself, rather than paying attention to external things. The body can be a tool for spiritual growth, but it can also be an obstacle. The body is the carrier of the mind, as long as the focus is on self-feeling, spend a little time every day focusing on the heart, you can open up inner wisdom and improve the quality of life.
In the book, Sadhguru writes that one of the ways to listen to life is to focus on the experience of life, not on clothes, skin, thoughts, emotions. Because none of this is you. Ordinary people are easily affected by external environments, and their hearts run with the outside world. Growth is joyful only when body, mind, and spirit are all one.
To illustrate this point, the book tells a small story.
One day the king asked the ministers what was the happiest thing in their lives. The ministers flattered that the happiest thing in their lives was to assist the king. Only Bibal didn't speak. The king asked Bibar, what is your greatest joy. Bibar said: Go to the toilet. Feeling humiliated, the king angrily ordered Bibar to verify his answer as soon as possible. Otherwise, kill him. Bibal asked the king for two weeks. Within two weeks, he would prove that what he said was true.
Soon, the king took part in a hunting expedition. After he had drunk enough to eat, he suddenly felt a pain in his abdomen. However, there is not a toilet to be found around. The king's stomach was getting more and more painful, and he was almost unable to hold back. Just then, Bibal sent someone to bring the king a toilet tent. The king ran into the tent and groaned in relief. Bibal stood outside the tent and asked: Your Majesty, do you agree with me now? The king said from the bottom of his heart, sure enough, going to the toilet is the greatest joy in life.
Through this story, Sadhguru wants to tell us that the greatest joy is to release what is unbearable within. Diet, sleep, living habits, etc., are all part of life. Letting the body maintain a state of awareness and adjusting the state of the body is the basis of a happy life.
There is a word called "materialistic flow". Many people believe that desire is the source of human suffering. Without desire, there is no suffering. Sadhguru felt that desire was the source of life. Everyone has a lot of desires, some desires make people successful, and some desires can destroy people. The most important thing is not to have no desire, but to guide desire correctly, so that desire serves you, not you.
Therefore, Sadhguru advocates that people should live with enthusiasm and release their desires in life. From these desires, truly know yourself. A person who truly knows himself will never get lost on the road of life.

second, distinguish between ideas and reality, and live an aware life

Spiritual practice advocates the unity of matter and self. The unity of matter and self here refers to the spiritual level, not the material level. Every day, countless thoughts arise in our minds. Many people take their thoughts as reality, and as a result, we are exhausted by our own delusions.
The book tells a little story. There is a man who thinks he has grasped the true meaning of the unity of matter and self. Once, he went to a restaurant to eat. After eating, he not only did not pay, but also took the money box at the front desk of the restaurant. Later, the restaurant owner took him to the courthouse. The judge asked him why he was doing it. That person said that spiritual practice requires the unity of the object and the self, and the unity of the material and the self is to not distinguish between each other. So, the restaurant owner's money, is his money, he takes his own money, is there any problem. After listening to his words, the judge cried and laughed, and could only punish him with 60 lashes. As a result, after a few whips, he had already opened his flesh and begged for forgiveness. At this moment, he finally understood the true meaning of the unity of matter and self.
In Sadhguru's view, in the real world, many people are staging the farces in the above stories. The minds of the majority, like a chaotic circus, cannot distinguish between reality and delusion. When we understand things with our intellect alone, we often delude ourselves.
In fact, the mind can produce happiness as well as pain. To be the master of the mind is to be aware of life in the present moment. Once we consciously separate ourselves from our thoughts, the mind is no longer like a chaotic circus, but like a symphony orchestra with tacit understanding.
Sadhguru believes that awareness is a process of inclusion. People can improve their awareness by deliberately practicing. For example, turn the tap on slightly, let it drop only 5 to 10 drops of water per minute, and observe the process of water droplets forming and falling. Observe for 15 minutes a day, and one day you will realize that there are so many little things happening in your life that are so wonderful. But you've never paid attention to them before, and you've missed out on a lot of life's moments.
It can be seen that if people can transform the unconscious into consciousness, the wisdom of the mind will be revealed, and life will undergo miraculous changes.
So, how can the unconscious be transformed into conscious? The answer is to always remind yourself that things like body, relationships, money, etc., are not the real you. By acknowledging this, we can get rid of the state of anxiety and disorder and move life towards peace and joy.

Third, the human body contains all kinds of energy, to turn negative energy into positive energy

Whenever something bad happens and can't be explained by common sense, we always blame it on fate.
Sadhguru believes that the "fate" thing is actually something that we create for ourselves unconsciously. Everyone is the master of our own destiny, and the thoughts, emotions, impulses, and reactions we generate every day constitute our destiny. Life has its own laws of operation, and if you understand the inner nature of life, you can control your own destiny.
In the human body, there are different energies, and each energy has its own role. Sadhguru believes that if a person can control his own life energy, he can control his own destiny. So, what do we do when negative energy comes along.
In Sadhguru's view, negative energy has a rationality for its existence. If the body is seen as a room, then negative energy is the trash can in the room. Imagine how horrible it is to throw garbage all over the floor in a spacious and bright room without trash cans. It can be seen that the garbage can is an indispensable thing in the room. Although the trash can is so important, we can't do without the trash can every day, but no one will want to live in the trash can because the trash can is important.
Sadhguru uses this easy-to-understand metaphor to tell us that everyone has negative energy, and it is normal to have negative energy. But we can't just get caught up in negative energy and let it swallow you up.
So, how do you deal with your own negative energy? Sadhguru pointed out that negative energy can be thought of as a garbage can with a lid, and when negative emotions arise within you, open the trash can, throw the negative energy in, and close the lid when you're done throwing it. Also learn to clean up the trash can regularly, pack up the garbage and throw it out of your body so that it can no longer contaminate you. In other words, when facing your own negative energy, consciously distinguish yourself from negative energy, you are you, negative energy is negative energy, you can't be led by negative energy.
Corresponding to negative energy is positive energy. Of all the positive energy, the energy of love is the greatest. Sadhguru believes that love is a person's natural state of existence, and the connotation of love is very broad, not only referring to the love of men and women. He suggested that people spend a few minutes a day with a tree, a stone, a flower, and develop their ability to love. Over time, we will find that we have as much love when we look at trees, stones, and flowers, and as much love as we do when we look at our families. It can be seen that love is not what you want to do, love is the way you exist. If a person can live with love, his whole life will be wonderful.
Sadhguru is well aware of the anxieties and confusion of modern people, and his teachings are simple and simple, light and humorous, and extremely inspiring. In this book, I was impressed by his two passages. One passage is, "If you are willing to throw yourself into anything, that's your paradise; if you're unwilling to do anything, that's your hell." Another passage is, "Every day, it's not about escaping life, it's about waking up." ”
Life is short. For people, the most precious thing is not what they have, but what they have experienced. We live in the world, but the world does not belong to us. Everyone is a passer-by of life, and only by penetrating the truth of life and living in the present can we be truly happy.
