GAC Group achieved revenue of 23.1 billion yuan in Q1, an increase of 45.67% year-on-year

Jiwei Network News (Wen/Lin Xueying) On April 27, GAC Group released the first quarter report of 2022, saying that the company achieved revenue of 23.1 billion yuan in Q1, an increase of 45.67% year-on-year. The net profit attributable to the shareholders of the listed company was 3.009 billion yuan, an increase of 27.17% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies, net of non-recurring gains and losses, was RMB2.898 billion, an increase of 30.18% year-on-year.

In addition, GAC Group announced that it will achieve carbon neutrality of the whole life cycle of its products by 2050 (challenging 2045), and build GAC Aian into GAC's first zero-carbon plant in 2023; in 2025, the sales volume of self-owned brand new energy vehicles will account for 50%, the sales of new energy vehicles of the whole group will account for 50% in 2030, and GAC Trumpchi will achieve hybridization of all models in 2025 and 60% of hybrid sales in 2030.

Feng Xingya, general manager of GAC Group, said that in the face of the three major industry pain points of new energy endurance, safety and charging, GAC Group solved the pain points of the cruising range in the first phase (before 2019), and currently by equipping with the latest sponge silicon anode plate battery technology, the maximum cruising range has reached 1000 kilometers; in the second phase (2019-2021), the pain points of battery safety have been solved through the unique magazine battery system safety technology. On this basis, GAC Group has further increased its layout and investment in energy ecology, and has entered the third stage of establishing energy ecology and solving charging convenience in terms of electrification.

In the field of intelligence, it can be divided into two areas: hardware and software. In the hardware field, GAC has released a new generation of electronic and electrical architecture "Star Spirit Architecture" (EEA3.0), which plans to mass-produce new models based on this architecture next year. In the field of software, it can be further divided into two aspects: intelligent cockpit and automatic driving. In terms of intelligent cockpits, Galaxy Zhilian, a joint venture between GAC and iFLYTEK, is responsible for promoting the research and development of technologies related to intelligent cockpits, and GAC Aeon is responsible for application-side development. In terms of autonomous driving, GAC promotes independent research and development on the one hand, and adopts a cooperation model on the other hand. In terms of independent research and development, the team led by Dr. Chen Xuewen is promoting the research and development of fully autonomous driving technology, which is expected to be installed in the model launched next year. The L2++ technology developed by the GAC Research Institute is also about to be mass-produced. In terms of foreign cooperation, GAC has cooperated with Huawei, Xiaoma Zhixing and other companies.
