Let's talk about the static experience first, from the appearance, although Jiachen is a new silver label model, its first impression on me is not unfamiliar. Because in terms of contour, Jiachen, like Capgemini, is a classic MPV shape; in the detail design, Jiachen's "V-shaped face" has many similarities with the stars that are also silver label brothers. However, from the overall appearance, I think that Jiachen, as the main home and has the shape of an MPV, has done a very good job in the matter of "degreasing".
In the interior part, Jiachen did not choose to take the large screen of the scientific and technological route, but more was to convey the warmth of the home style. For example, its central control, in addition to the clear sense of layering, its leather wrapping throughout the central control panel, not only has a sense of grade, but also makes the entire car brighter.
In addition, the storage space and detailed configuration distributed by Jiachen in the car really impressed me. For example, in the 1/2/3 row seats, it is equipped with USB ports and air conditioning outlets, and there are as many as 23 large and small storage spaces in the car. By the way, in the intelligent network system part, the new car is of course arranged with its own Ling OS system. In the space part, Jiachen once again showed us the excellent performance of Wuling for space optimization. In terms of data, Jiachen has a length of 4785mm, a wheelbase of 2760mm, and a seat of 2+2+3 seven-seat layout. At the same time, Jiachen also adopts a theater step layout in the seating part, so that it will not feel so depressed when sitting in the third row; and the seat layout of the car can be switched freely between 4-7 seats.
In the actual ride experience, passengers with a height of 175mm sit in the front row, and after adjusting the seat to the lowest, the headroom is one circle and four fingers. When you come to the second row, the leg movement space is between three fingers and two fists (the second row of seats in Jiachen has a 120mm movement distance up and down); when you go to the third row, the head space can have a super punch, and when the second row rides to move the seat to the center, the third row occupants will not top their legs. In terms of space, for a compact positioning of a seven-seat family car, I think Jiachen can undoubtedly get high scores in terms of spatial performance.
In terms of dynamics, when I opened Wuling Jiachen, the familiar feeling was like automatically finding the door. Because before, I participated in the media test drive activities of Capgemini and Xingchen, and Jiachen's 1.5T+CVT powertrain is also the same as the other two silver label models.
So, when I turned Jiachen on, its linear throttle/brake pedals and smooth power output felt like I was working with an old partner with a high degree of understanding. There is also its 147 horsepower, in fact, for the daily take the baby out, or take the whole family out on a self-driving trip, the overall is still enough, even when you drive alone and switch to the sport mode, you can still feel a little acceleration in the initial stage.
However, a family car like this should not expect it to have any driving pleasure or a sense of communication between people and vehicles, because its suspension/chassis as a whole is soft, and the tail follow-up is also decent, and under the blessing of such hardware, you may not like to change lanes quickly after a period of time. After all, maybe Jiachen wants to tell you more: slow down, the safety of the family is the top priority.
