When I got home, I saw a huge package, and when I opened it, it turned out to be the second generation of NIAO and DIAN portable wires that the herb doctor had quietly sent from the previous station to tour without notice.
But this is a good portable set, but it's too heavy, right?!
Speaking of NIAO, it was because of it that herbalists were pushed to the forefront. Even when I wrote the YIAO review before, I still mentioned this matter of burning oil.
Of course, I'm still more emotional in terms of HiFi, after all, I don't have the means to test objective indicators. Therefore, for NIAO, I just use a more subjective perspective to make small talk about my personal feelings and opinions.
The NIAO itself is similar to the previous YIAO, it is boxy, and with a pearl white shell, it looks quite small. But it can be clearly seen from the configuration of the two headphone output ports on the front panel,NIAO is mainly for desktop users——After all, I have never seen a portable machine with 4-core XLR and 3-core XLR+6.3 mixed interface,Even the table amplifier used by Pineapple itself does not have such an extreme configuration。
In contrast, the monochrome display in the upper left corner of the front panel is really small and "cute", which can be regarded as the consistent style of herb doctors. Even NIAO's system is actually a bit more complicated than YIAO, after all, NIAO supports two-crew gameplay.
However, the interaction logic of NIAO is still ...... Quite offbeat.
Although the screen is in the front, the [MENU] and [SELECT] buttons of NIAO are in the back, and this separate layout is too casual. In addition, the rear input port uses a pair of 3-pin XLR + 6.3mm hybrid connectors, in addition to using the XLR input by default, you can also convert 6.3 to RCA through the included accessories.
However, NIAO's power supply uses a 12V DC interface, which directly shows its positioning as a desktop...... In fact, there is a reversal!
Because the herbalist has made a portable linear power supply specially matched for NIAO - DIAO, it is equivalent to encouraging everyone to use NIAO as a portable computer in disguise.
DIAO is actually an enlarged high-power power bank, but it is equipped with a 12V/3A DC output interface, which can be adapted to supply NIAO power supply.
In fact, half of the reason why I signed up for the herbalist tour was because I wanted to try DIAO.
However, the DIAO on the tour seems to be different from the version on sale, because I originally saw that there was a USB port next to the DC port, and I thought about going to the meter to see the ripples, but it turned out that there was no electricity at all.
In contrast, the power of DC output has been measured, 11.8V/3A, and the voltage has not dropped significantly at full load, which is quite good for a mobile power supply.
But fortunately, the pricing of DIAO has reached 2888 yuan, which is almost as good as the iFi Yuerfa iPower Elite recommended by many NIAO players. I think I'd better bear with it first and continue to serve with a high-power power bank!
Before that, including the herbalist official, as well as many people who have played NIAO's burning oil, all said that the thrust of this small machine is quite strong. In terms of the actual effect of pushing the HE560, when the potentiometer knob is played to about 1 o'clock, the NIAO can indeed be pushed loud enough, which is basically the same as the 50% volume in the TA-22 high gain mode.
NIAO's sound is warmer and thicker, which can neutralize the lightness of HE560 to a certain extent. This is really good for NIAO's small body. When paired with DIAO, the thrust of the NIAO is basically not attenuated, which is comparable to that of the standard DC external power supply.
But in terms of sound clarity and resolution, I think NIAO is inferior to the TA-22. Especially in terms of high-frequency parsing, NIAO's sound separation is only average, and although the charm is good, it still seems to be lacking in instrumental expressiveness.
In comparison, the effect of using NIAO to push Kaisheng White Bell is okay, and the vocal taste is more than that of the TA-22 that is bold. Especially when performing some old Hong Kong and Taiwan pop songs from the 7th and 80s, NIAO will be more classical.
But NIAO and DIAO are combined together, and they go directly to the price of 10,000 yuan, which seems to be not very cost-effective! What's more, this is not counting decoding, if you add PIAO, even Big Pineapple 2 will be ashamed!
