From the perspective of market segments, the highest sales volume is still the car, with cumulative sales reaching 765,000 units in March, down 12.0% year-on-year and up 27.1% month-on-month.
Specifically, Wuling Hongguang MINI EV sold more than 40,000 vehicles in March, an increase of 42.7% year-on-year, not only winning the crown of the sedan segment, but also continuing to lead the new energy segment.
In second place is Dongfeng Nissan Xuanyi, sales in March also exceeded 30,000 vehicles, but still fell by 31.6% year-on-year, can only say that the same period last year Xuanyi sold too well, more than 44,000 vehicles.
The top three models on the list are also Tesla Model 3, which sold 26,024 units in March, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year. In terms of B-class cars, in March, the Camry once again won the top spot in the mid-to-high-end sedan segment with sales of 22,518 units, an increase of 72.8% year-on-year. In addition to the Camry, only the Accord remained in the list, with 14,855 units sold in March, ranking 12th.
In terms of luxury brands, the BMW 5 Series and BMW 3 Series, which have long dominated the list, have disappeared, replaced by the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, with sales of 12,797 units in March, down 7.2% year-on-year. It should be noted that the BMW brand has always been popular in the Chinese market, and the decline in sales this month may have a lot to do with the complaints in March that burning oil and advertising are not in line with the publicity.
From the perspective of growth, FAW Toyota Corolla, FAW-Volkswagen Sagittarius, Buick New Yinglang and FAW-Volkswagen New Bora fell very seriously year-on-year, down 49.2%, 56.9%, 52.4% and 67.8% respectively. From the cumulative sales of high-end cars from January to March this year, the top three are BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 3 Series, and the cumulative sales have exceeded 43,000 units.
