Behind this seemingly unsettling news is BYD's large number of undelivered orders. There is no hustle and bustle of great fanfare, nor is there a coincidence of social events ignited, as if unconsciously, buying a new energy vehicle from BYD has become a new trend in automobile consumption. The previously strictly followed chain of car consumption contempt (imported cars> joint venture cars> domestic cars) was instantly self-defeating.
This makes people wonder, what kind of experience will it be to buy a car at the BYD 4S store today? With questions and expectations, I walked into the BYD Yongle Shengshi flagship store in Chengdu.
Although I could understand it, I was shocked
Chengdu's BYD Yongle Shengshi flagship store, located along Airport Road, as the top automobile business district in Chengdu, the port can be described as a small amount of land. Yongle Shengshi store next to Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Bentley and other luxury car shops, a BYD 4S store set up here, can not be described as dazzling.
This 4S store belongs to THE BYD Dynasty Network, from the appearance can be seen, its façade is made of very textured aluminum-plastic board and transparent high-brightness glass matching, the right side of the solid curtain wall added "dragon whiskers" element, the left side is equipped with red dragon scales standing sailboard, a unique style of architecture, let people know that it is BYD's shop at a glance.
When I walked into the door of the 4S store, although I knew that it might be different from the general domestic car 4S store, I did not expect it to be so shocking - I walked into a single building with an exclusive 9-story building with a total area of 22,000 square meters, if I had not seen BYD's LOGO at the door, I once thought that I had crossed the wrong door.
Less than 3 seconds after stepping into the hall, the tall reception lady smiled and asked what help she needed, her uniform was neat and tidy, and her appearance was very confident, which once again gave people the illusion that this was a luxury car showroom.
The whole showroom was crowded, I quietly drilled into the back row of a BYD Han DM-i, quietly listened to the front row of sales to explain the new car to customers, as a professional automotive media editor, I deliberately paid attention to whether the sales words are professional, whether it misleads customers, or demeans opponents, a dialogue to listen to, sales to the customer's answers and demand guidance are very smooth, customers also got the product information they want to know. Although the individual does not represent the overall level, it is still a big surprise to see a high level of sales consultants in BYD's 4S store.
Advanced hardware supports strong after-sales
As mentioned above, this BYD Yongle Shengshi flagship store has 9 floors, -1 floor and -2 floors are parking lots, 1 floor is the dynasty sales service area, 2 floors are office areas and conference rooms, 3 floors are ocean network sales service area, 4 floors are mechanical and electrical workshops, 5 floors are sheet spray workshops, 6 floors are paint workshops, and 7 floors are customer rest areas and owners club venues.
I specially visited the 4th, 5th and 6th floors and saw 18 cranes, and the after-sales staff said that more than 20 vehicles could be repaired and maintained here at the same time. It is worth mentioning that in order to save customers' time, BYD Yongle Shengshi flagship store has also opened a fast maintenance channel to ensure that vehicle maintenance is completed within 40 minutes. Customers can view the maintenance progress and maintenance status of their cars in the workshop in real time through the display of the mobile phone terminal or the customer rest area.
The spray center on the 5th floor is built based on the latest environmental requirements, and features 12 fully sealed medium-coat grinding rooms, equipped with six integrated dry grinding treatment systems, which are not only technologically advanced, but also meet the latest environmental protection requirements.
In the paint workshop on the 6th floor, the middle paint room is equipped with integrated three-dimensional baking lights, which can bake the body in all directions. It is equipped with four sets of advanced nano water-soluble paint rooms, equipped with 32 kWh nano baking lamps, which can quickly heat up from the inside of the board to ensure drying speed. In addition, the nano-baking lamp does not emit light, and there will be no safety risk of self-combustion because of the problem of the baking lamp.
I also saw a special paint warehouse and a large paint mixing room on this floor, breaking the traditional door-to-door paint mixing mode and dirty and messy paint adjustment status quo, all spraying vehicles are used environmentally friendly imported water-based Axalta paint, fully guaranteeing environmental protection and quality.
These advanced hardware configurations mean that this BYD 4S store has a high level of after-sales capabilities with high quality. Presumably, BYD's users will not be willing to let their cars be maintained and repaired outside in the future.
A highlight moment for BYD
BYD is a Chinese car company that insists on independent innovation, and it relies on subversive technologies such as blade batteries, DM-i super hybrid, and e-platform 3.0 to let everyone see that Chinese car companies can also have strong technical strength, and the technology and route have greatly stimulated the sales terminal. Just this past March, BYD's monthly sales of passenger cars exceeded 100,000 units for the first time. In the author's view, BYD is now adhering to the development route of brand up, product up, experience up, standing in the user's point of view, which represents the best quality products and services. At this point, looking at "whether buying BYD is a face-saving thing", perhaps I have some hindsight.
