A few days ago, China Insurance Research Institute announced the test results of a new batch of 7 new cars. Among them, the closely watched tank 300 performed well, and together with the Toyota C-HR, it became the best performing model in this test; Dongfeng Citroen Tianyi and the Buick GL8 occupant protection of the second test only received A rating.
The following are the sub-results of this batch of models.
Buick Encore S
As a model sold back to the North American market, the Oncovi S's passive safety is reassuring, receiving a G in all sub-tests for occupant protection. However, the performance of the active safety test of the new car was not good, and the overall scoring rate was only 52.5%, which was indeed surprising to receive an M rating.
Toyota C-HR
Previously, C-HR's brother model Yize has been G-rated in the China Insurance Research Institute test, and the C-HR test results are also not unexpected: not only all the points have received G ratings, but also the performance in the easy-to-deduct restraint system and dummy sports is also impeccable, and the G rating is well deserved.
Citroën Sky
Tianyi's results ranked low in this batch: after all, the current models on sale have been on the market for 5 years, and there has been no modification in the middle, the structural design is somewhat backward, and there is no active safety configuration. In the 25% bias collision, Tianyi only got A in terms of body structure or dummy constraints, the head protection of the rear passengers in the side collision was also not optimistic, and the roof strength test only got A rating, hoping that the mid-term redesign model listed this year could be improved.
Tank 300
The much-anticipated Tank 300 delivered excellent answers in this batch and received a G rating, while all subdivisions were G, and even pedestrian protection was G. It should be known that girder off-road vehicles are prone to losses in response to crash tests, one is self-weight, but the non-bearing body energy absorption structure design is quite challenging. The passive safety of the tank 300 is at the top level, whether it is placed at the same price point or at the same level.
Nissan X-Trail
The controversy over the three-cylinder did not affect the passive safety of X-Trail. Synkijun received G in all crew protection projects, whether it was a major score or a sub-score without any flaws, and there was no mistake in body structure and occupant sports protection. At least in terms of passive safety, X-Trail's performance is reassuring.
Buick GL8 ES Lu Zun
The structure-optimized GL8 played for the second time and received an A rating. Compared with the performance in the previous test, the redesigned GL8 did not have the A-pillar break, and the occupant living space was guaranteed, but there was still room for optimization of the upper shape of the crew compartment; the driver's torso score in the side collision only got M, which lowered the overall evaluation to A. All in all, the passive safety of new cars has improved significantly compared with the old model, but there is still a gap compared to the first-class level of the same level: the Roewe iMAX8 has previously received a G.
Tesla Model Y
Tesla's passive safety is obvious to all, after all, this is another Model produced in China and sold back to the world. Model Y occupant safety index is not surprisingly all excellent, but the maintenance economy performance is really not good, a careless bump is really expensive.
