April 2 is the World Autism Awareness Day, Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower held a unique lighting ceremony for autistic children between 19:00 and 20:00 - using the blue starry sky light show to light up the lonely planet of "Xingbao". There is a group of people in this world who, from the moment they fall to the ground, are doomed to loneliness—a long period of loneliness brought about by genetic defects that is not understood by ordinary people.
They are a natural autistic group. Autism is a widespread developmental disorder characterized by social interaction disorders, a rigid and narrow range of interests, and developmental disorders of language communication function.
Children with autism are referred to as "children of the stars" and "star treasures". According to statistics, there are more than 70 million autistic people in the world, and more than 14 million people with autism in the mainland, of which about 3.5 million are children with autism under the age of 14.
Because autism is a congenital defect in the development of the brain, it is incurable. But it is recognized worldwide that rehabilitation is the most effective way to treat autism. Some high-functioning children with autism may be trained to basically recover and live an ordinary life.
