A few days ago, General Motors Design Company shared an interesting sketch on the Internet, which seems to be a high-end crossover.
It uses GM's current design language, though some details have led us to believe it's an electric crossover. What's more, the black boomerang on the side is very similar to what you saw on the Corvette C8, would this be a teaser for an electric Corvette SUV?
In fact, this rendering was made by Jason Chen, who has been a creative designer for GM since 2015, according to his resume.
The electric Corvette crossover isn't exactly a completely new idea, in fact, as early as 2019, there were rumors of independent Corvette brand SUVs and sedans. The reports allegedly came from some unnamed GM insiders.
A 2021 report said GM is already working on at least one electric Corvette SUV, which will mark the beginning of Corvette's approach to a similar approach to Ford's Mustang Mach-E. Sources also revealed that GM's designers are already working on several Corvette-branded concept cars, which will be available as early as 2025.
