EGX has developed and patented a new heat pump that recovers energy from batteries, powers heating and acceleration, and increases range.
The information shows that the Aoteneng platform can recover and store this waste heat from the battery and power system, while also capturing and utilizing the heat inside and outside the car.
In addition, the energy recovery system reduces the supply of heating and power to the battery, providing an additional mileage of 10%, and the heat pump system can also heat the battery before charging, thereby improving charging efficiency.
For reference, Aoteneng energy recovery involves 11 patents and the development can be traced back to GM's first pure electric vehicle, the EV1. At present, all Aoteneng platform models can use Aoteneng energy recovery and are planned to be used in future Aoteneng vehicles.
