At the Chicago Auto Show in the United States, the new Volkswagen Atlas (corresponding to the domestic model Touran) was officially unveiled. It will be available later this year and will be slightly higher in price than the 2023 model.
The new car is named the 2024 model, and the exterior design and configuration have changed significantly. At the same time, the new car is no longer available in the V6 engine configuration.
The Volkswagen Atlas is similar to the domestic Touran, and is also selling a standard model and a coupe version of the Cross (domestic name X). The new overseas version of the light cluster is equipped with chrome decoration and 18-20-inch wheels as standard, and 21-inch wheels are optional for R-Line models.
In terms of interior, the selection of materials is more exquisite, and the top-equipped model offers diamond-shaped lattice seats. The central control 12-inch floating screen replaces the previous 10.3-inch screen and provides a new LCD instrument. In addition, intelligent driver assistance systems are also available as standard.
The new car will only be offered with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 269 hp, and an 8-speed automatic transmission is responsible for power transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, optional four-wheel drive and has a maximum towing mass of 5,000 pounds.
