As SAIC-GM strictly and orderly promotes the resumption of work and production, LYRIQ's first pre-production vehicle has rolled off the production line at the Cadillac plant on May 7, 2022, marking the final stage of commissioning and verification of the full production link before mass production.
The LYRIQ is the first model introduced by SAIC-GM to introduce the Aoteneng electric vehicle platform, and it is also the pioneering work of Cadillac's intelligent pure electric transformation. The LYRIQ is more than 5 meters long and has a wheelbase of nearly 3.1 meters, positioning medium and large pure electric SUVs. Thanks to the Aoteneng electric vehicle platform, LYRIQ's first long-drive long-drive version clTC has a cruising range of more than 650 kilometers, and supports full-life cycle fast charging, charging 10 minutes to catch up to 96 kilometers, to meet the needs of users' intercity travel.
Since the official release and pre-sale on November 17, 2021, despite the impact of the epidemic and "lack of cores" on many occasions, the mass production process of LYRIQ is still accelerating. The roll-off of the LYRIQ pre-production vehicle is one of the important links in the mass production process. At this stage, LYRIQ will start the final stage of production full-link verification before mass production at the Cadillac plant, including optimizing the production line process to meet the mass production standards, improving the quality stability of the vehicle and parts, and gradually adjusting the LYRIQ vehicle process to the optimal state. At the same time, the verification of the integrity of the vehicle's functions in the pre-production phase, including the localization adaptation of the entertainment system and the driver assistance system, as well as the vehicle reliability test, will continue to lay the foundation for LYRIQ's luxurious quality.
The LYRIQ pre-production vehicle is the first brand new model to roll off the production line at the Cadillac plant in Jinqiao, Shanghai, since the implementation of closed production management. At this point, the manufacturing and verification work of Cadillac LYRIQ will also enter the final sprint stage.
