This JDM is so good-looking, sorry, but I'm a Corvette C4, an authentic American muscle car

Friends who are deeply involved in the car modification circle must want to have their own JDM. What the? You don't know JDM yet. It only means that you are not suitable for car modification circles. What if there is no JDM? We can change, what does that sentence say? "There is no difficulty, and the creation of difficulties must also be up." A Swedish netizen named Jim Björk told us deeply how to use an American muscle car to complete the JDM conversion.

Jim Bjork is a veteran of JDM, and ironically, he doesn't have a single JDM car in his hands. But he's not poor, and he has several American muscle cars in his hands, including the Colvit c5, ford mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Viper, and the colwitt C4, the protagonist of this article.

Jim's JDM-style Corvette C4 was originally unveiled at the 2021 Ultrace 2021 Speed Hunter modification show in Wroclaw, Poland, a special event for racing cars that is held annually. Jim then planned to take the car to Sweden and participated in the Bilsport performance modification exhibition known as "Swedish SEMA", but was forced to cancel due to the epidemic. Unfortunately, this car participated in some virtual auto shows and won awards at the RADwood Modification Show.

Jim's C4 was not easy to come by, he sold the C5 and Viper in exchange, and it is not known what drove him to do so, after all, the C4 is arguably the worst generation in the history of Corvette products. Judging from the transfer of this C4, this car has been in Japan before importing it into Sweden, and perhaps because of this, in Jim's mind, this American car is no different from the JDM concept.

Jim customized a number of modifications for the JDM C4, and the body kit was converted by Pandem, because the C4 had to be tucked into a unique wheel hub and tires, and the C4 underwent a wide-body modification. The hubs are based on the Super Advan Racing SA3E series, a JDM vintage three-piece forged wheel that measures 11 inches wide at the front and 13 inches wide at the back.

The side skirt was completed by John Greenwood Motorsports, which was specially developed for the NISSN S13 and placed on the C4 without any sense of violation. You may have noticed the black stripes on the doors, inspired by the Ferrari 512 Testarossa. Some custom parts were also used in the rear of the car, and the rear wing was a replica of the BMW M3 E30 EVO, with a height increase of 16 cm.

In terms of body color, Jim chose Porsche's Miami blue. Under the hood is equipped with a 5.7L L98 V8 engine, the maximum power is 250 horsepower, the performance part is upgraded by IMSA, including the installation of exposed air filters, through exhaust, heavy brush ECU, etc., the performance improvement is relatively mild. In the suspension section, this C4 references most JDM styles, using TA Technix air suspension, coupled with air Lift Performance 3P suspension lift management system, which can increase the height of the vehicle in the cruising state and avoid chassis scratches.

The biggest slot point of the Corvette C4 that year was the interior, and the quality was very bad. Jim has completely revamped it, using a black and white theme color scheme, the door trim has been customized, and the central control panel buttons have been rearranged, eliminating the rotten design of GM's interior in the 80s.

This modification case can be seen that in the early years, the American muscle car can be well integrated with the JDM style, and the side reflects that the Japanese car design in the early years was more or less affected by the American car style, and the integration of the two was relaxed and free, without any sense of violation.
