Toyota Corolla IIHS crash test was well received

As Toyota's most well-known sedan, Corolla's global sales have exceeded 50 million units, which is a milestone in the history of the development of the automobile industry.

Recently, the National Association of Highway Safety and Insurance (IIHS) released the results of the Corolla's crash test, which received the highest rating of Top Safety Pick+, which applies to the Corolla sedan and hatchback models produced after November 2021.

In the passive safety test, Corolla received excellent reviews for the driver side small overlap (25%) collision, co-pilot side small overlap (25%) collision, driver side moderate overlap (40%) collision, side collision and roof strength tests that made many car companies fold.

In terms of active safety, the Carola is equipped with a Safety Sense 2.0 driver assistance system as standard, so it has also achieved excellent results in vehicle-to-vehicle collision prevention and vehicle-to-person collision prevention tests, but the headlights test has only received general evaluations.

It is worth mentioning that the new generation of Corolla built based on the TNGA architecture has participated in the most stringent china insurance research test in 2020.

In addition to receiving a bad (P) rating in the "Crashworthiness and Maintenance Economics Index" project for maintenance cost economy, the new Corolla achieved excellent (G) results in the Interior Occupant Safety Index, the Pedestrian Safety Index, and the Vehicle Auxiliary Safety Index.
