According to the China Automobile Recall Network, FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation and decided to recall the Yize and C-HR models from March 21, 2022.

Among them, FAW Toyota recalled some Yize vehicles produced between April 30, 2020 and August 19, 2021, totaling 13,999 units, and GAC Toyota recalled some C-HR vehicles produced between April 29, 2020 and July 30, 2021, for a total of 9,503 units. These two sister models are from the same platform as Toyota, and the positioning, configuration and price are similar.

It is reported that after the recall, FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota will check the optical axis adjustment status of the millimeter wave radar sensor for free for the vehicles within the scope of the recall, and if the setting is detected to be unsuccessful, the vehicle will be re-set with the optical axis adjustment to eliminate the safety hazard.

The manufacturer also reminded in the recall announcement that before the recall and maintenance, it is recommended that users suspend the use of dynamic radar cruise control system (DRCC), lane tracking assist system (LTA) and pre-collision safety system (PCS), and enter the store for inspection and maintenance in time after the recall activities begin.
