On March 18, Nandu reporters learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. announced that from March 21, 2022, they will recall some Yize cars produced between April 30, 2020 and August 19, 2021, a total of 13,999 units; and some C-HR cars produced between April 29, 2020 and July 30, 2021, a total of 9,503 units.

It is reported that some vehicles within the scope of this recall cannot identify the vehicle in front of them due to the unsuccessful operation of the optical axis adjustment setting of the millimeter wave radar sensor, resulting in the dynamic radar cruise control system (DRCC), lane following assistance system (LTA) and pre-collision safety system (PCS) some functions cannot work properly, increasing the risk of collision accidents and there are safety hazards.
Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. will check the optical axis adjustment status of millimeter wave radar sensors free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall, and if it detects that the setting is unsuccessful, the vehicle will be re-set with optical axis adjustment to eliminate safety hazards.
