Millimeter wave radar sensor failure FAW Toyota /GAC Toyota recalled part of Yize /C-HR

Recently, Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, and recalled the following vehicles from March 21, 2022.

1. Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd

Millimeter wave radar sensor failure FAW Toyota /GAC Toyota recalled part of Yize /C-HR

Recalled 13,999 Yize vehicles manufactured between April 30, 2020 and August 19, 2021.

2. GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd

Millimeter wave radar sensor failure FAW Toyota /GAC Toyota recalled part of Yize /C-HR

Recalled a total of 9,503 C-HR vehicles manufactured between April 29, 2020 and July 30, 2021.

Some vehicles within the scope of this recall cannot identify the vehicle in front of them during the use of the vehicle due to the fact that the optical axis adjustment setting of the millimeter wave radar sensor may not be successful, resulting in the failure of some functions of the dynamic radar cruise control system (DRCC), lane following assistance system (LTA) and pre-collision safety system (PCS) to work properly, increasing the risk of collision accidents and potential safety hazards.

Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. will check the optical axis adjustment status of millimeter wave radar sensors free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall, and if it detects that the setting is unsuccessful, the vehicle will be re-set with optical axis adjustment to eliminate safety hazards.

Emergency Measures: Before recalling maintenance, users are advised to suspend the use of Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Following Assistance (LTA) and Pre-Collision Safety System (PCS), and enter the store for inspection and repair in time after the recall activities begin.
