March 20 is the spring equinox in the traditional Chinese twenty-four solar terms, which marks the official arrival of spring, on this day, we share equal length of day and night, ushering in more and more warm daylight. On the morning of the same day, the opening ceremony and recitation of "Spring Sends You a Poem" initiated by the Poetry Journal and jointly sponsored by the Chinese Poetry Society and other units was held at the China Arts and Crafts Art Museum and the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum in Beijing.
On the same day, famous poets Ye Yanbin, Cao Yuxiang, Beiqiao, Liu Xiaowei, Wang Jianzhao, Chen Yong, Li Muma, young poets Jiang Ting, Yang Qingci, Wang Jiaming, Wang Erdong, Li Zhuang, Ma Zeping, Ai Nuoyi, Zhou Weimin, Ma Wenxiu, Wei Cui, Zhang Guangchao, Wang Wei, Liu Yage, Chu Hongcheng, Qilu, Hanzhu, Shi Bing, Liang Xiaolan, Zhang Yi and other poets in Beijing attended the event.

Holding the "Spring Sends You a Poem" recitation activity will give poetry to our lives and show the warm and beautiful charm of spring with poetry.
It is understood that "Spring Sends You a Poem" is a large-scale poetry public welfare activity initiated by the Poetry Journal in 2002. Twenty years of ups and downs, footprints all over the world, through a series of recitations, sharing meetings, the poetry and spring messages spread through thousands of mountains and rivers, into thousands of households.
At this event, a spring poetry call for papers with the theme of the new era, new journey and new atmosphere was released, which attracted the active participation of the majority of poets, received more than 30,000 manuscripts, and carried out a series of activities such as "Come to Read Poetry • Spring to Send You a Poem" Kuaishou Poetry Recitation, "Spring Poetry Week" and other activities, and also cooperated with Xi'an, Ningbo, Haining and other places to cooperate in holding various forms of activities such as "Spring Sends You a Poem" and "Bus to Spring" to deliver beautiful poetry for the people. Create a good atmosphere to welcome the 20th National Congress of the Party. At the same time, the "World Poetry Day" on March 21 is coming, and Li Shaojun extends spring blessings to the vast number of poets.

After the on-site speech, the representatives of the poets present took the stage one after another. Poets Ye Yanbin, Wang Shan, Liu Xiaowei, Wang Jianzhao, Wang Erdong and other poets recited their own poems about spring, which aroused a warm response from the audience. As a result, the "Spring Send You a Poem" activity in 2022 kicked off, and the "Spring Send You a Poem" will continue to promote poetry to the public in this spring, so that the poetry of spring will reach thousands of households through thousands of mountains and rivers.
It is reported that the "Spring Send You a Poem" Spring Poetry Week Recitation Collection Activity jointly sponsored by the "Poetry Journal" Agency, China Writers Network and China Poetry Network and other units has been officially launched, with the help of short videos and other ways to broaden new ways of dissemination for poetry, and promote the creative integration and development of poetry and new media in the new era.
