Write a great epic of magnificent mountains and rivers

After the publication of the Communiqué of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Resolutions adopted and the Explanations of General Secretary Xi Jinping, I have studied them many times. The "Resolution" and "Explanation" reveal the great achievements and historical inevitability of the development and growth of the party in the past 100 years since its founding, and expound and penetrate the historical, theoretical, and practical logic of why the CPC has been able to stand in an invincible position and why China has been able to develop steadily and steadily. As a poet, I think it is crucial to grasp and implement these three logics well, because the essential driving force of poetry creation is derived from following the logic of history, theory and practice. Only by profoundly understanding, grasping, and applying these three logics can we create excellent works that profoundly reflect history and reality and help promote the development of society. The ultimate purpose of creating excellent works is to promote human society to move towards a civilized and satisfactory life for the people. When our work has this kind of impetus, I think it is to implement the people first, that is, to implement the people as the center. In addition, is there any more utilitarian purpose for the poet's creation and creation of his work? I thought, there is none.

Recently, in the preface to the poet Liu Xiaowei's poetry collection "Bronze years", Mr. Xie Mian, a contemporary poetry theorist, quoted a passage from Zhong Rong's "Poetry" for the current poetry creation as a whole, that is, "he hates his children's feelings more, and the wind and clouds are less", and affirms Liu Xiaowei's poetry creation from the perspective of "wind and clouds". Why does Zhong Rong say that "less wind and clouds" is "the next product"? Why did Xie Mian raise this point of view again today? In my opinion, Zhong Rong seems to think that simply writing about children's feelings is "like morning dew" style fleeting, which is not interesting. To re-mention these words in today's context is to hope that our poetry will reflect the stormy weather of the times, rather than blindly indulging in the small world of the self. Indeed, poetry is often created from a small perspective, even from a subtle and instantaneous feeling, which is the general law of poetry writing. However, from a small place, from a subtle point, from a momentary point of view, we must also be able to go deep into it and create a big weather, a big pattern, and a big realm, instead of "from small to small" without meaning, symbol, and transcendence, and even fall into the historical nothingness and cannot extricate ourselves. I believe that in the creation of poetry, in order to write out the "wind and clouds" and write the pioneering works that advance with the times, or even walk in the forefront of the times, we must go deep into the real life that changes the fate of mankind and pushes the times forward, devote ourselves to the most essential, core, and important life that drives the times forward, to experience, to feel, to discover the inner strength and inner logic of the magnificent realistic epic, to see the micro-knowledge, to write well in a small way. It is necessary to reveal the inevitable trend and trend of the forward development and upgrading of historical reality, so that our works will become the forces loved by the masses of the people and can help promote the progress of history and human civilization, rather than the kind of "works" that are not painful, small fights, let alone reverse movements, and even become "stumbling blocks" that hinder the forward development of society. Therefore, we must truly grasp the great logic of history, theory and practice, so as to better promote the development of our poetry creation.

Excellent literary works cannot lack "wind and clouds". Why not less? Because any moving story is produced in the big atmosphere, big environment and big background of the times, and is an inevitable reflection of the essence of the times. It can be said that the more exciting it is, the more it reflects the essence of the times. There are no great works that are completely divorced from the times, and even pure formal exploration and experimentation still cannot escape the natural flow of the language of the times and the context of the times. In my opinion, works that do not reflect the essence of the times cannot become great works. Turning over the classic masterpieces of ancient and modern China and foreign countries, there is no exception. For this reason, Zhong Rong gave Zhang Hua's poems a "lower product" conclusion, while Xie Mian eagerly called out the "wind and clouds" of the poems. This is the "old Ji" of the poetry circle who is "full of heart", facing the development of Chinese poetry in the new era, and sends out a jade zhenjin sound of anticipation yin Yin's tearing jade.

Thinking of the hardships and splendor of our party over the past hundred years, the arduous course of New China for more than seventy years, and the brave exploration of reform and opening up for more than forty years, I think that there must be a huge ideological logic and spiritual energy in this. If there is antecedent, there must be consequences, and only when cause and effect run through one breath can there be a miracle on earth. We say that it is impossible for the sky to drop a Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge for you for no reason, and it is impossible for the underground to suddenly drill a high-speed train directly into the distance. China's scientific and technological workers, China's industrial workers, farmers, and even laborers from all walks of life have created one human miracle after another with their diligent hands. How many of these long songs of humanity, symphonies of humanity, and pictures of civilization have not yet been written? History and reality await the poet, and I look forward to more creative inspiration for the poet. I think that our contemporary poets have many, many powerful epics that have not yet been written. The poetic works we create do not yet match the great deeds of our time and the heroes of the times. Although many poets have left shining names and written immortal classics in the history of new poetry in the past hundred years, in my opinion, in the face of the vast and thick spiritual wealth and rapid development of the new era, we need to have new poetic creations.

Over the past few days, I have repeatedly read the communiqué, the "Resolution" and General Secretary Xi Jinping's "Explanation" and have felt a lot of emotions. The great new era calls on great poets to plunge into great history and great reality, without being discouraged, the road ahead is in all directions, and the creation is not endless. Perhaps it is precisely because there are so many huge time and space waiting for our outstanding contemporary poets to fill in, to create, to write the classics of the new era, our future is full of hope worthy of our expectations and worthy of our struggle. And only by writing a great epic of magnificent mountains and rivers can we be worthy of this era and the heroes and people who have created immortal achievements.
