When writing this book, the author had to hide the real thing. The first person to appear in the novel is named "Zhen Shiyin". The names of the characters in "Dream of the Red Chamber" often have a harmonic sound, Zhen Shiyin, that is, the "real thing hidden". The author is writing about his ancestors, fathers, and peers, and all the people in his generation, hiding the real thing. This is not the same as the attitude of our gossip today, there is a kind of thickness in it.

For the author, looking back at the course of his family, he must both reveal and hide, and in the hiding contains the love and hatred for the people who have lived, he has become transcendent, and he wants to leave a little comfort or encouragement for the living to live. He wrote "Dream of the Red Chamber" not to expose privacy, but to be compassionate and tolerant, so he said at the beginning that he would "hide the real thing".

The examiners work very hard to dig out the "real things", I am afraid that they also violate the original intention of literary creation, and the really good literature is by no means gossip. A really good literature must be an observation and understanding of life at a relatively high level. It is not concerned with the pride of digging out the "real thing", but rather with compassion, which is absolutely different from compassion.

I have mentioned to many people that "Dream of the Red Chamber" has been read more than thirty times, and the person who touched me the most was the person I hated the most when I first read it, one named Jia Rui and the other called Xue Pan. These two men are probably considered the most vulgar in the novel, flirting with women and morally inferior. But the last few times I read them, the more I think these two characters are written movingly. The author still uses the mirror method, without subjective commenting on their good or bad. Their lust has reached a point where they cannot restrain themselves.

Jia Rui flirted with Wang Xifeng, was victimized by Wang Xifeng, became ill, and came to a Taoist priest, who gave him a mirror and said that you can look at the opposite side, not the front. Because as soon as he saw the front, Wang Xifeng came out to make love to her, and if he looked at the opposite, it was a skeleton, but he felt that the skeleton was so ugly, so he kept looking at the front, and Wang Xifeng made love to him again and again, and finally Jared died.

Jarry, a boy under twenty years old, suffered to such an extent because he could not control his desires. When the author writes about him, he also uses compassion.

Uncontrollable lust is one of the important themes of "Dream of the Red Chamber".
