Recently, the "Young Phoenix Qingsheng" - Zijiu Calligraphy and Painting Teachers and Students Fine Exhibition opened in WuChangshuo Haipai Art Space in The North Station Street of Jing'an District.

The exhibition is hosted by Shanghai Zijiu Calligraphy and Painting Art Center, and organized by Shanghai Zijiu Art Garden, Wu Changshuo Haipai Art Space, North Railway Station Cultural Center, and North Railway Station Art Center.

The exhibition exhibits more than 60 calligraphy and painting works, covering landscapes, flowers, birds, calligraphy and other fields. Among the authors of these works, there are contemporary masters such as Chen Peiqiu, Zhou Zhigao, Liu Xiaoqing and Ding Shenyang, as well as children under the age of ten.

Talking about the origin of the exhibition, Li Cheng, director of the Shanghai Zijiu Calligraphy and Painting Art Center, introduced: "In February this year, we held a grand joint exhibition of teachers and students in the Shanghai Library, exhibiting nearly 130 calligraphy and painting works jointly created by the center's art consultants, instructors and students. In this exhibition, we have selected some works with high artistic value and certain representativeness, hoping to better show our creative level and artistic concept to the industry. ”

At the same time, this exhibition in Wu Changshuo Haipai Art Space is also the debut of Zijiu Calligraphy and Painting "Walking with the Master" study plan. "In the next step, we will cooperate with more art groups with deep historical heritage and good social reputation to better disseminate and promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture while enriching the learning experience of students." Li Cheng said.

It is reported that Wu Changshuo is a key figure in the history of modern and contemporary art in the mainland, who came to Shanghai at the beginning of the last century until his death and lived in Jiqingli, Northwest Road, Beizhan Mountain. In 2019, in order to continue the century-old love affair between Wu Changshuo and the North Railway Station, under the guidance of the Shanghai Wu Changshuo Art Research Association and Wu's descendants, The North Station Street jointly created the Wu Changshuo Haipai Art Space. Since its inception, the art space has successfully held a number of important exhibitions such as "Wu Changshuo and His Descendants Five Generations of Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition", "Shanghai Wu Changshuo Art Research Association First Member Nomination Exhibition", "Han Tianheng Teachers and Students Calligraphy and Painting Seal Engraving Exhibition" and many other important exhibitions.
