Writers care about more than just writing

Fan Wen suggested that first of all, we should further strengthen the supervision and punishment of the relevant responsibilities of e-commerce platforms; secondly, we should further strengthen the rectification of pirated books, strengthen daily management, control the chaos caused by piracy from the source, and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of copyright holders and consumers.
Among the proposals of Fan Xiaoqing, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a well-known writer over the years, there are proposals for setting up literary foundations to support the survival of literary periodicals, which are more related to the field of education and people's livelihood. Including improving the quality of rural teachers, the elderly with disabilities, the daily life of landless peasants, increasing the number of rule of law education class hours, comprehensively promoting school buses, reducing the burden on primary school students, improving power grid planning, strengthening family network literacy education, and many other areas that are relevant to people's livelihood, are all in her field of vision.
Pan Xiangli, a deputy to the National People's Congress and a writer, also paid more attention to a wide range of areas. When it comes to the more successful writers of Chinese literature "going out", Han Jingqun believes that Liu Cixin and Cao Wenxuan represent two different directions, science fiction literature and children's literature. Han Jingqun also mentioned in the proposal that Chinese literature should "go global" or increase its export to the European and American worlds and find ways to enter their mainstream discourse system. At present, few Chinese literary works have been translated into English. When the Beijing October Literature and Art Publishing House is exporting to the outside world, it pays more attention to finding publishing houses that match the literary achievements of writers. Han Jingqun gave an example of the impetus that the popularity of film and television dramas has brought to book sales. For example, "In the Name of the People" sold 70,000 copies before the TV series was broadcast. As soon as the TV series aired, 1 million copies were printed in 10 days.
