On the night of "World Book Day" on April 23, the "2021 China Good Books" organized by the China Book Critics Association was announced, and a total of 42 books were selected. Beijing Publishing Group's "The Distant White Horse" published by Beijing October Literature and Art Publishing House, and "Ping An Approval" jointly published by Beijing October Literature and Art Publishing House and Huacheng Publishing House were selected.
"The Distant White Horse" is a weighty and thoughtful military literature. Zhu Xiuhai, a military writer, traveled to 11 provinces (cities), interviewed more than 130 historical witnesses, collected rich creative materials, and successfully created a group of selfless and fearless communists with firm convictions and vividness against the background of the Liberation War.

"Ping An Batch" is a novel by writer Chen Jiming, which enters from a small incision and depicts a history of the struggle of Chaoshan overseas Chinese merchants to "go to Nanyang". "Batch" is the Hokkien word, which means "letter". The "Ping'an Batch" is the letter of the early Chaoshan and Southern Fujian overseas Chinese and their relatives in their hometown to report safety. The protagonist, Zheng Mengmei, shoulders the mission of reviving the family business, and when people are getting middle-aged, they are alone in Nanyang. In a foreign country, ghostwriting "Ping An Batch" unexpectedly became his life's work. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Zheng Mengmei and her relatives and friends deeply understood the great righteousness of their homeland and resolutely threw themselves into the torrent of serving the motherland...
Chen Jiming said: "In my opinion, the character of the Chaoshan people is actually a strengthened version of the Chinese character: diligent, honest and trustworthy, low-key and humble, with the attitude of 'donkey life and death' to struggle, to break in, to earn money to rush home, if you make a fortune sooner or later, you will have to fall back to the roots."
