3.8 Women writers send messages | become their own light

She, them, lifted her pen and flew up to the island. Between the four of the river and the wild, catch the pond fish and birds.

No need to sue for divorce. Back and forth to the gate, flowing in the vulgar land. Follow beauty and become beautiful.

Her power had long been obscured, suppressed, and blinded. Long, long, blank, disappearing, silent.

"Women are not born, but acquired."

"If a woman wants to write a novel, she has to have money and a room of her own."

So she picked up the pen.

She, they, made sounds and began to exist.

Today, we specially invite the female writers of October Literature and Art to share their works and blessings, and wish everyone a happy holiday.

May they, may we all be their own light.

Tribute, nostalgia

Amateur Player

Meng Xiaoshu, a post-80s Beijing writer. Amateur Is Her Latest Novella Collection. The three stories in the book reflect and complement each other, and together shape the image of Sun Chuangchuang, a literary and artistic youth. In a sense, the "out of place" "Sun Chuang Chuang" is exactly the realistic portrayal of some contemporary youth: when the dividend of "rebellious youth" is no longer there, how artists can complete the real self-affirmation in the collision with the rules of the world. This is a remembrance of the golden age of a generation, and it is also a self-examination of the writer's farewell to youth.
