The second "Huawei car" Avita 11 is coming, ADS assisted driving can not be delivered?

The good news of Avita 11 came one after another, while Chang'an's stock was as stable as my health code, and it has been green since it was received.

In the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the latest batch of "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Announcements", Avita 11 is listed.

This shows that Avita 11 is steadily advancing in accordance with the plan of "listing in the second quarter and delivering in the third quarter".

The second "Huawei car" Avita 11 is coming, ADS assisted driving can not be delivered?

The declaration information reveals the dimensions and motor parameters of the Avita 11, and the wheelbase of the Avita 11 reaches 2975mm, which is probably located between the NIO ES6 and ES7 (referring to the ET7 wheelbase), which is a very generous space.

The motors of the Avita 11 are supplied by Huawei, with a maximum power of 195kW for the front axle and 230kW for the rear axle, and zero hundred acceleration will enter the 3-second club.

At present, there are three three-in-one motor products displayed on Huawei's official website, but car companies can also choose to make corresponding adjustments based on platform products when cooperating.

According to the parameters, the front motor of Avita 11 should be based on the adjustment of Huawei's 220kW asynchronous motor scheme, and the rear motor should be based on the adjustment of the 270kW synchronous motor.

The scheme of front AC asynchronous and post permanent magnet synchronization is consistent with the Polar Fox Alpha S and AITO Q&I M5, and the whole series of Weilai is just "mirrored".

Want to make the permanent magnet synchronous motor power high, you need to solve the heat dissipation problem, Huawei's three-in-one electric drive is the use of oil-cooled heat dissipation, not only can fully dissipate heat on the windings, but also through the oil-cooled pipeline design in the rotor, to achieve direct cooling of the entire motor. In addition, Huawei's oil cooling can also uniformly dissipate heat on the electric drive, improving the overall heat dissipation efficiency.

Although the cost of larger permanent magnet synchronous motor power is higher, the combination of the front AC asynchronous motor (small power) and the rear permanent magnet synchronous motor (high power) will be the optimal solution to achieve low energy consumption. One of the great advantages of asynchronous motors over permanent magnet synchronous motors is that they will not drag and drop energy consumption when power is cut off, so the front wheel asynchronous motor is more suitable for switching from 4 to 2 drives.

In addition to the core parameters, the declaration chart of Avita 11 also reveals an interesting point, which supports both 5 and 4 versions. Referring to the "sky-high price" of the four-seat version of HiPhi X, I don't know if Avita 11 will also surprise us with a four-seat luxury version.

Previously, when AutoLab was in Huawei's Su Research Institute, it had experienced a Huawei 4-seat version of the demo cockpit, which was quite stunning, the rear seat could adjust the backrest angle, the middle armrest could not be folded, and a lot of control buttons were integrated. The back row is equipped with an entertainment screen that supports gesture interaction, and the most important thing is that when lying down, you can watch the movie through the huge picture of the sky, which is very cool.

Combined with the wheelbase data of Avita 11, if it is equipped with Huawei's digital cockpit, the rear of the 4-seat version must be very worth looking forward to!

The smart car with the highest amount of "Hua"

It is very strange to say, obviously there are not many Huawei black technologies on the AITO Q&I M5, but it always gives people the illusion that this is Huawei's own son. This may come from the difference between Huawei's two business lines.

AITO belongs to Huawei's smart car business, which can be understood as "Huawei Strict Selection" or "Huajia Ecological Chain", and the entry threshold is that it must be equipped with HarmonyOS, because this is a pass to access Huawei's 1+8+n ecosystem. Huawei Smart Car still belongs to Huawei consumer BG.

The Avita 11 belongs to Huawei's HI intelligent car solution, and the entry threshold is that it must be equipped with ADS full-stack intelligent driving solution and HarmonyOS intelligent cockpit. Obviously, the entry threshold of Huawei's HI target is higher.

Huawei HI belongs to the business of Huawei car BU, but because the No. 1 bit of the car BU and the No. 1 bit of the consumer BG are the same person, the two pieces are easily confused.

At present, the new HI version of Polar Fox Alpha S and Avita 11 have not been connected to huawei stores. Both companies are actively building their own distribution networks, especially Avita 11, which will take service as one of the main selling points, and the establishment of offline stores and delivery systems are the most important touchpoints, so I personally feel that the possibility of these two cars entering huawei's smart car channel is low.

Even if they are all holders of the Huawei HI logo, Avita 11 is a latecomer and a brand new model that can be developed from the bottom, so it is also the most "Huawei" car at present.

Huawei has summarized its experience in automobile research and development into a unique secret book - the iDVP platform, which has been deeply sorted out from the underlying sensors, computing chip hardware, communication architecture, to the three operating systems of HOS, VOS, and AOS in the middle, and then to the top of the high-precision map, ecology and other API interfaces.

This is a textbook for the development of smart cars – from beginner to proficient.

And Avita 11 is Huawei's building blocks step by step from the bottom to the top of this textbook. It can even be understood that Avita is relative to Huawei, just like Jidu Car is relative to Baidu.

The advantage of this from the bottom layer is that Huawei can fully use the development concept of electronic products to define many functions of this car, in addition to the ADS assisted driving that everyone is most interested in (point-to-point pilot assisted driving covering urban roads, high-speed elevated highways, parking scenarios), it can also realize the opening of the intelligent driving domain and the cockpit domain, as well as the iterative optimization ability of the whole vehicle that the hardware can be plugged in.

For example, if you compare harmonyOS in the new HI version of the Polar Fox Alpha S, and the different UI interfaces on the AITO Inquisition M5, you will feel that HarmonyOS is more suitable for the latter's transverse iPAD size. Through the previous interior spy photos of Avita 11, it can be seen that the central control screen of Avita 11 is almost the unified size of Huawei's vehicle smart screen.

This is the advantage of building product software and hardware from the bottom.

Delayed future ADS assisted driving

At the end of January this year, we experienced the mass-produced version of the new HI version of the Polar Fox Alpha S at Huawei Shanghai Research Institute, and the feeling at that time was that the completion of the entire ADS assisted driving system was already very high, basically the vast majority of the scenes we could encounter, it could be safely dealt with.

At the time, the speculation was that the Huawei ADS should be delivered around the Beijing Auto Show, but no accurate information has been heard yet. Many car owners are beginning to worry, is Huawei ADS jumping tickets?

At the end of January, when the test drive, the mass-produced version of the Polar Fox Alpha S new HI version, still equipped with Sagitar Juchuang M1 lidar, it is reported that at least the first batch of delivered models, lidar will be supplied by Sagitar Juchuang. Although the new HI version of the Polar Fox Alpha S will be the delivery debut of sagitar Juchuang M1, sagitar Juchuang's production capacity is sufficient and should not affect the overall delivery schedule.

In addition, the parts that may affect production capacity are chips, hi versions of models are equipped with Huawei's self-developed MDC 610, but MDC 610 In addition to supplying HI models, GAC Aion LX Plus, Nezha S and other models, as well as MINIIEYE solutions, are also using MDC610, so the main control chip is not likely to become the reason for the impact of delivery.

Hardware aside, the software is not ready. Although the two experiences of Huawei ADS are amazing enough, the complexity of the city road Pilot function is too high, not only the generalization ability of the algorithm is extremely demanding, but also relies on high-precision maps.

At present, Baidu Map and AutoNavi Map's urban road HIGH-precision map products have not been truly verified to the outside world, so the collection scale and freshness of Huawei's high-precision maps may be a problem affecting delivery. Moreover, due to regulatory issues, Huawei's previously proposed crowdsourcing collection scheme for car owners cannot be implemented in the short term, which further exacerbates the dependence of the ADS system on high-precision maps.

Even Huawei HI's second blockbuster product is coming, but I don't want ADS to continue to postpone.
