Germany's Caskhound launches 30 years of British Northern Single Grain Whisky
Caskhound, an independent bottler from Germany, launches a single grain whisky: 30 years of British Single Grain Scotch Whisky, distilled in 1991, bottled in 2021, aged 30 years, refilled bourbon barrels, barrel strength, 42.4% ABV, capacity 700 ml, limited to 144 bottles, non-condensing filter, natural color. It is priced at 159.9 euros.
According to official tasting records, the wine has aromas of honey and cream candy, coconut almond cake, furniture polish, vanilla, floral mousley, fresh pineapple, etc., the taste is creamy, soft and sweet, with vanilla biscuits and rum, ripe melon, strawberry, and then the bitter taste of toffee and cream bread crust, the aftertaste is quite long, there are herbs, with cinnamon and oak spices, citrus peel, apple seed, wood, slightly dried.
Located in the Scottish lowlands, North British is one of scotland's oldest and largest grain whisky distilleries, founded in the 19th century and produces most of the grain whiskies for blended whiskies as base wines.
