The Spanish system is characterized by thin and soft leaves, dark eyes, flesh color close to orange, strong aroma, and many fibers. Although it has a foreign name, the representative varieties in China are called soil species, Taiwan region is called Zailai species, Guangdong region is called Beili species, Guangxi region is called Wuming soil species. The shape of the fruit is somewhat inverted microcone, the flesh is dark yellow, and the fiber is juicy and less, which is not an ideal variety for fresh food, so it is not cultivated much, and it may still be cultivated in Yunnan today.

In recent years, when it comes to pineapples, it has always been impossible to avoid the "sea of pineapples" in Xuwen County, Zhanjiang, Guangdong. But in fact, pineapple cultivation in China is not limited to Guangdong. As early as the Qing Dynasty, pineapple cultivation has begun to radiate from Guangdong to the surrounding areas, Guangxi, Fujian, Taiwan, Yunnan and Hainan also planted their own "pineapple sea" in the historical process, and it is quite large-scale and has its own characteristics.

Hainan, located in the tropical monsoon climate zone, is the second largest pineapple producing area in the country, with a pineapple planting area of 270,000 mu and an output of 452,000 tons. The main production areas are located in Wanning, Qionghai, Changjiang and Ding'an, among which Wanning and Qionghai are the two largest production areas.

The planting varieties are also mainly Balinese, supplemented by Taiwanese hybrids. The planting advantage of Hainan Island is undoubtedly the climatic conditions, so that there are good quality pineapples to eat here almost all year round.
The fame of pineapples in Guangxi seems to have been snatched away by the more well-known fruits such as pomelo, star fruit, and lychee, but the whole pineapple production area in Guangxi is widely distributed, although there is only 46,000 acres of planting area, but there are fields in Chongzuo, Qinzhou, Beihai, Fangchenggang, Yulin and Youjiang valley areas.

Especially in the Jiangnan District of Nanning, because of its low latitude, warm climate throughout the year, and rainy summer, it is the best area for growing pineapples. In recent years, Nanning pineapple has expanded the way, introducing Internet celebrity varieties such as shredded pineapple and winter honey pineapple, and at the same time improving planting technology to cultivate new varieties such as rock sugar red pineapple, and even striving to achieve a year-round situation to make up for the seasonal gap in other provinces and regions.
Yunnan is the only province in the western region that can grow pineapples, on the one hand, it is blessed with unique geographical advantages, pineapple planting areas are mainly distributed in Honghe Prefecture, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Lincang City, Dehong Prefecture and Pu'er, Wenshan and other warm land boundaries, on the other hand, it is the location advantage of border provinces, and Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and other countries as neighbors.

The pineapple planting area in the province is 110,000 mu, mainly without thorn caine, Bali and Singapore. In recent years, some Taiwanese series have been introduced, especially the perfume pineapple and milk pineapple grown in Xishuangbanna, coupled with the large temperature difference in Yunnan, which makes the pineapple here sweet and touching.
Fujian's pineapple reputation can be said to be inseparable from Taiwan's help. As a province with abundant water resources and a warm and humid climate throughout the year, it is naturally suitable for the growth of subtropical fruits. The cultivation area of pineapple in Fujian is 15,000 mu, of which 11,000 mu is concentrated in Zhangzhou, and at the same time, it is the most prestigious in Chengxi Town, Longhai City.

The pineapple cultivation here has a history of 100 years, from the original thornless caine to the Taiwanese agricultural series introduced from Taiwan, Guangdong and other places, making it seem low-key, but quietly supporting the entire pineapple world in Fujian.
