"This is the first batch of melons we picked, and they are packed and sold in surrounding counties. These are fixed merchants who can directly carry out large-scale sales. At present, there are 4 melon sheds in Lifeng Ecological Park, mainly planting high-quality varieties such as "Green Treasure" and "Boyang No. 9", with a total output of 90,000 catties.
"My greenhouse has been using sheep manure, cow manure, and chicken manure fermented organic fertilizer, and no pesticides, every year is used, an acre of about 6 tons of organic fertilizer, now the greenhouse organic fertilizer has reached more than ten centimeters thick, these organic fertilizers continue to provide sufficient nutrition for melons and fruits, to ensure that the melons and fruits are sweet, rich and delicious. Chen Leigang said that during the season when melons and fruits are on the market, the nearby people like to come to pick them.
It is understood that the establishment of the greenhouse base has also driven more than 20 surrounding households to work at the "doorstep" to increase income, and solved the problem of working part of the idle labor force, especially some sixty or seventy-year-old people. They can't stay idle at home, and they don't have to work hard in the vegetable greenhouse, and they can easily earn sixty or seventy yuan a day, and they feel the real happiness and satisfaction brought by "employment at the doorstep".
"My family's land has been transferred, and now in addition to collecting rent every year, I come to the greenhouse to do odd jobs in my spare time, and my usual work is to help weed and manage melons, so I am not tired of work, and I can take care of my family, which is very good." A villager at work said.
In recent years, the South Hebei New Area has vigorously developed the melon, fruit and vegetable planting industry, adopted the model of "cooperatives + farms + farmers" to form a one-stop industrial chain of production, packaging and sales.
